"We rented this house for a weekend to reconnect with cousins. The location of the house was perfect! Our problem was all the stairs. I was aware that there were many stairs to get in the house which was a concern but doable. My sister needs a walker so I was concerned but I new if she took her time she could make it in. There were three bedrooms on the first floor so I new once she got in she would be ok. I'm not sure if I missed it or it wasn't mentioned but even though the bedrooms were on the first floor, the kitchen and living areas were on the second floor. She made it up but then was stuck until bedtime. I wasn't sure we were going to get her downstairs. Some of the furniture was a little shabby but it certainly served our purposes. The owners were very easy to work with. I would recommend this house though only if there were no physical limitations."Guest: Susie Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 15, 2014View listing
"This condo was very clean and so nice. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice and big. The kitchen was gorgeous. We sat out on the balcony in the mornings watching the sun rise over the water. Fantastic! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone!"Guest: Kate R. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 9, 2014View listing
"We had a great stay at this rental house. We came for the Alabama / Miss. State game and it is only a 20 minute drive to Starkville. The home felt was warm and welcoming. It felt like we were at our home away from home. The owners are very courtious and accomidating. Thanks for a great memory!"Guest: Greg M. "This was our first trip to that area. The condo is beautiful and the pool and beach were very nice. The owner called us to check that everything was okay on the first day which impressed us. The area has some great restaurants. We loved our stay in this condo and would highly suggest it to friends and family. We will definitely be back to the area."Guest: Christy28 Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 30, 2014View listing

Best Time of Year to Visit Mississippi
Mississippi enjoys a long summer and relatively short winter. This makes it a popular summer vacation destination. While most people still tend to travel during the peak holiday season of July and August, the longer summer season means that you can still enjoy good weather outside of peak season. In the summer months, the temperatures average around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmest month is traditionally July. During the winter months, the temperatures average 48 degrees Fahrenheit, with the coldest month being January. The northern interior is generally more temperate that the coastal areas. Occasional snowfalls are not uncommon in the central and northern parts; however, it is seldom significant amounts and it usually quickly melts away. Most of the rainfall occurs during the summer months in the form of short-lived but dramatic thunderstorms. The Gulf Coast is particularly prone to hurricanes that blow across the Gulf of Mexico in the late summer and early fall months. The interior of the state usually gets the dregs of the tropical storms which results in heavy rainfall.
