"The condo was wonderful!! We had so much room and everything we needed. We had enough room to host a family gathering, which was nice since we have never had the room to do this before during our reunions. Brian was very easy to work with and the codes getting into the garage and condo worked very well. It was nice having the garage to park in! Highly recommend this property:)"Guest: Lisa P. "We booked this condo for a last minute getaway for our family, and had a wonderful experience! The property managers were great, and the condo was just as described and pictured. This condo was very spacious and comfortable, and perfect for our family. Our favorite parts were the pool right out the back door, and the beach just steps from there! We will definitely consider this condo when traveling to Biloxi again in the future!"Guest: Brandon & Heather Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 12, 2014View listing
"We have to give 5 stars for everything - Jeannie as a hostess, the cottage, the location, and Ocean Springs. We had a difficult travel day, planning to arrive around 4:00 PM, but because of a flat tire and having to be towed to get it fixed, we arrived as weary travelers at 10:30 PM. It was so nice to walk in the door to such a wonderful accommodation. Jeannie knew we were arriving late, and had so thoughtfully turned on lights for us and had the cottage cooled for our arrival. She is such a thoughtful person and checked on us the day after to make sure all was well at the cottage and to see if we needed any help with dinner reservations or information about the area. We only stayed two nights but the cottage was wonderful - very spacious, nicely decorated and immaculately clean. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and the private wooded view. We loved Ocean Springs and spent a lot of time just riding around looking at the beautiful homes and views of the beach and marshes. If you like pottery, don't miss stopping by Shearwater Pottery at 102 Shearwater Drive, and be sure to see their museum and gallery. For dinner, we really enjoyed Anthony's Under the Oaks. The food and service were excellent, and the sunset view is not to be missed. I highly recommend Camellia Cottage for your vacation stay, no matter how long or short your stay. Hope to see you again soon, Jeannie!"Guest: VickieB Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 16, 2014View listing
Mississippi Travel Tips
Best Time of Year to Visit Mississippi
Mississippi enjoys a long summer and relatively short winter. This makes it a popular summer vacation destination. While most people still tend to travel during the peak holiday season of July and August, the longer summer season means that you can still enjoy good weather outside of peak season. In the summer months, the temperatures average around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmest month is traditionally July. During the winter months, the temperatures average 48 degrees Fahrenheit, with the coldest month being January. The northern interior is generally more temperate that the coastal areas. Occasional snowfalls are not uncommon in the central and northern parts; however, it is seldom significant amounts and it usually quickly melts away. Most of the rainfall occurs during the summer months in the form of short-lived but dramatic thunderstorms. The Gulf Coast is particularly prone to hurricanes that blow across the Gulf of Mexico in the late summer and early fall months. The interior of the state usually gets the dregs of the tropical storms which results in heavy rainfall.

Here, you can tour his childhood home which is a humble two-room house. Next door is a museum which contains many different memorabilia items that detail his life.
