  • A Must Stay!!!

"First of all Mrs. Donna (Owner) makes you feel like family. My family and I came in from San Diego, California for a family reunion and wedding. When we arrived it was exactly as Donna mentioned plenty of parking and the entrance was a piece of cake. When my husband and I walked in it felt like I was at home. She did not forget anything. There's even Wifi if you need it on vacation. I used it everyday that I was there. Thank you Donna for having that I was able to finish a few assignments. Just a few thing Mrs Donna the room next to the master the cable never worked. You have direct TV and getting channels was useless. It really didn't matter much because we stayed up late each night talking about old family stories. The iron in the master does not work. You may want to replace it. The iron keeps going out when you try to use it. I wish I could have given you a hug because there was plenty of space for everyone. I had not seen my sister, niece and nephews for over two years. We shared some good times together in your home. My husband and I had a early morning flight out (6 am) it was a little stressful washing sheets that early in the morning. However, we worked it out. I will be back for sure! The casino was walking away ( 5 mins.) and if you don't want to cook Waffle House is next door to the condo BONUS! Thank you Thank you"

  • Perfect girl trip

"My mom, sister, grandmother and I chose this condo for a girls getaway. It was right on the beach with plenty of room for all of us. During August, the beach was very private. Most of the time there were less than 10 other people on the beach with us. The pool was also nice and not crowded. The condo itself was very nice and clean. After seeing a scary news article about another vrbo property (NOT ONE IN THIS AREA), I decided to check the mattress. Also, I like to check for bed bugs. I was extremely pleased to see that the mattresses were covered with a plastic air tight cover and had 2-3 other mattress protectors on top of that-all white with no stains. :) Condo wasn't too far from casinos or restaurants. As another reviewer stated, the HOA recommends not parking in the parking space for this unit. The parking lot on the side isn't much further though. Overall, we had a great trip."

  • Wonderful Property!

"This was one of the greatest places we have stayed. We were attending events at Ole Miss in Oxford, which was a 25 minute drive. The setting was beautiful, tranquil and we had everything we could have wanted for a relaxing weekend close enough to the events we were attending and far enough away from town to get some relaxation time. We cannot say enough about the owners - they were wonderful. I guarantee if you like a beautiful setting with a great home - this is the place for you. Thanks, Alex, for sharing your farm with us and for being so accommodating. I have told the wonderful stories from our weekend to so many people and they all want the information on your house!! We hope to return and visit again."

Mississippi Travel Tips

Getting to Mississippi Vacation Rentals

Mississippi is a state in the southern region of the United States. It is bordered by Alabama to the east, Tennessee to the north, Arkansas to the northwest, and Louisiana to the south and southeast. It also has just under 100 miles of coastline that run along the Gulf of Mexico. The capital city is Jackson which is centrally located within the state. The Jackson Evers International Airport currently hosts several of the major North American airlines on regular commercial flights. If you are planning a vacation on the Gulf Coast, the closest airport is in New Orleans which is located in Louisiana. It is just a short 40-mile drive from New Orleans to the border of Mississippi. The major vacation towns include Biloxi resorts and Gulfport resorts, which are between 70 and 80 miles from New Orleans. Upon your arrival, if you plan to explore the region, the best way to get around is by car. There is an extensive and well-maintained road network. As long as you have a road map or GPS, you should easily be able to navigate your way around. If you are flying in from destinations further afield, you can arrange a rental car from either of the airports for the duration of your stay.

Best Time of Year to Visit Mississippi Resort Rentals

Mississippi enjoys a long summer and relatively short winter. This makes it a popular summer vacation destination. While most people still tend to travel during the peak holiday season of July and August, the longer summer season means that you can still enjoy good weather outside of peak season. In the summer months, the temperatures average around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmest month is traditionally July. During the winter months, the temperatures average 48 degrees Fahrenheit, with the coldest month being January. The northern interior is generally more temperate that the coastal areas. Occasional snowfalls are not uncommon in the central and northern parts; however, it is seldom significant amounts and it usually quickly melts away. Most of the rainfall occurs during the summer months in the form of short-lived but dramatic thunderstorms. The Gulf Coast is particularly prone to hurricanes that blow across the Gulf of Mexico in the late summer and early fall months. The interior of the state usually gets the dregs of the tropical storms which results in heavy rainfall.

Music Legends at Mississippi Condos

Mississippi has a rich cultural heritage. Like its neighboring states, it has a strong music tradition with the signature music style being the Blues. In Clarksdale, you will find the Delta Blues Museum where you can see memorabilia and photographs of some of the great Blues legends. There are also numerous Blues Bars across the state where you can hear your favorite tune. Tupelo, which is in northeast Mississippi, is the birthplace of Elvis Presley. Here, you can tour his childhood home which is a humble two-room house. Next door is a museum which contains many different memorabilia items that detail his life. You can also take a stroll through town and see the fairgrounds where he performed early in his career or the hardware store where he bought his first guitar. For country music fans, you can visit Meridian which is the hometown of Jimmy Rogers. The Jimmy Rogers Museum in town pays tribute to this country music legend.

Visitors to Mississippi

Mississippi is a state that attracts a diverse range of visitors. Many come to visit the museums attributed to music legends but the state has much more to offer. It has a rich historical heritage with many museums. There are also many excellent golf courses where golfing enthusiasts can enjoy a round.
