"If you like to entertain kids with amusement parks, water slides, shows, and electronics--- this place is not for you! And that's is exactly why we loved it. It is a place to unplug and relax. We love the beautiful blue waters of Bull Shoals and with the marina a couple of blocks away, it was very convenient. Plus, there are many places to hike around and explore. There are many beautiful rivers nearby too. We even appreciated the windy roads and small towns. We came prepared and we love that it is off the beaten bath and no Wal-Mart right down the road. The owner thought of everything including great directions to see some sights! Great place for families to re-connect!"

"The house is a little far from Hwy 160, but is worth it, you can see the lake most of the way there. The house is plenty big and is very comfortable. We took our time each day getting up and going to the lake to boat and the house was great for night time entertainment as well. We have been going to Bull Shoals for many years and have previously stayed at one of the fishing "resorts" which is in need of updating, so we searched for other options. There are not very many options, so I am very glad we got the Sundown House. We kept our boat at Theodosia Marina and ate at Cookies a few times, very good food as always, sometimes very busy. we will definitely stay here again and would recommend it for large or small families. We used to spend around $1000.00 / week (extra people = extra $) for the fishing cabins, and they are small and you still have to drive down to the lake and the marina was a lot farther."
