"Being a traveler and used to the amenities of big hotels in major cities, beautiful resorts and vacation homes, I was very surprised to find a gem - Trimble Creek Lodge - in the heart of the Ozarks. From the moment, my brother and I stepped out of the car to our final day at this resort, we were impressed by the level of personalized service by the proprietors, Lorilee and Mike. They were not only warm, hospitable and friendly hosts, but very informative and highly knowledgeable about the area. They lent a special touch to everything – from the welcome sign that greeted us as we entered the lodge, to the bouquet of fresh flowers delivered to the rooms daily. The cabins were very CLEAN, cozy and charming; the décor added to the feeling of a real home.
Upon arrival, and after being led to our quarters, my first impulse was to lay in bed and sleep because I was tired from driving. But the scenery beckoned. The large windows in the lodge offered a view of Bull Shoals Lake that was irresistible and breathtaking. One could read, play a game of pool or backgammon or simply sit, relax and enjoy nature. The gravel paths that meandered around the property offered many surprises – a vegetable garden, a tree house, a homey barn, a small grove of chestnut trees, beautiful rocks from the “Natural State” and breathtaking views of the lake and its creeks.
We sampled Lorilee’s delicious home-made bread, which was freshly baked, but disappointingly, we did not have the time to take the lesson in bread making due to the lack of time.
Trimble Creek offered a lot of privacy and a welcome relief from the stresses of city living.
I highly recommend this beautiful resort and will definitely return and hope to stay longer!"

Giant hidden gem in Branson - perfect for large groups
"Tucked inside a very off-the-beaten path area, this home is spacious, extremely well furnished, and perfect for large groups or multiple families.
I hosted an business retreat here and we enjoyed the multiple gathering areas upstairs and down, the view of the lake, the outdoor patio, and of course the giant kitchen with almost every pan, pot, and utensil you'd ever need...and two (much appreciated) coffee makers! The extra-large dining room table allowed us to share meals together without needing to spread around the house. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms are fully stocked with plenty of towels. There are several pull-out beds and even a few air mattresses too.
All the floors are wooden and it would be nice to have a few carpets to make sitting on the floor more comfortable. I would be a bit concerned about getting to the property in the winter if the weather is bad considering the gravel roads are steep and curvy. The internet connection was not the fastest but was still reliable, which is surprising given the rural location. Cell phone service is not so great.
The owner was great to work with and the reservation process was quick and painless. We're definitely looking forward to staying at the Red Elk Lodge again!"

"My daughters and I stayed here for four nights and it was so comfortable. Everything we needed was right there. My little dog Sadie loved to run out in the little grass yard and watch the golfers. We enjoyed that it was so close to Branson and all the places we wanted to go. We will keep this place in mind when we make our next trip up there. The only down side was that we were not able to use the pool due to the damage they had from a storm. But that was no fault of the owners. We hope next time we come back we will be able to get in the pool because it looks beautiful. Thank you Scott and Becky"

"My family and I stayed for two nights right after Christmas- this was our 4th stay in the condo. It feels like home now when we walk in! It is a beautiful, clean, happy place to stay. Great location. Everything provided that you could possibly need. This was the first year that my 7 year old stayed in the upstairs bedroom by herself- in the past she always insisted on sleeping with us in the master bedroom. This year she walked right upstairs, put her bag down, and announced, "Oh, I've missed this room!". Cracked us up. :) Roy and Jane are lovely to work with. We tried the brunch this year at Big Cedar. Really yummy. Love this place!"
