"I visited this well-equipped Harbortown Villa rental accompanied by my Wife and our four-year-old Daughter. We were scouting local hotels for a brief trip to Kansas City, Missouri for the July 4th holiday, but we just knew that a cramped hotel room was certainly not what we had in mind. Thankfully, we came across this delightful condo located central to many of the nearby attractions (The zoo, the Country Club Plaza, etc.). Everything we did on our trip was only 10-20 minutes away from the condo! That was a big plus considering the size of the city.
The space is 'as advertised', and I found it smartly equipped with clean hand towels, hand soaps, pots & pans, extra blankets, etc. Every basic amenity was available in the unit, which allowed us to simply relax and enjoy our time from the moment we stepped into the door. The unit was clean with newer finishing’s (carpet, trim, doors, etc.), and the kitchen is somewhat small, yet oh so very cozy :o)
The only reason I withheld a star from this rating is that, the parking situation requires a brief walk down a slight decline and around to the front of the unit via a sidewalk - a minor inconvenience. There is also room for improvement in the living room as far as seating goes; it served us well enough, however we found ourselves wishing that there were a larger sofa available, and at least one end table (or coffee table) on which to place a drink. Also, I'm not sure if the fireplace works, but I do know that none of the light switches would turn it on; it was July (very warm), so I didn't inquire further about it.
Management was very helpful and friendly. We had difficulty logging into the wireless internet upon arriving, but one call to the office took care of that problem within minutes. I also appreciate the effort made by management to decorate each room; although noticeably done on a budget, the décor was tasteful and helped make it feel more like home. I’m so happy that we were able to enjoy this neat condo, and I’d certainly return!"
