  • Great for multiple families...

"We had 2 families (4 adults, 5 teens) and Weatherstone House was perfect. 2 bedrooms on main level with own bathrooms. Also a full bath in the hallway that alleviated any shower overcrowding from teens. Upstairs loft comfortably slept 5 kids (HS age). The loft has a door at the bottom of the steps so kids had true own space & sound barrier. Loft bathroom set up was perfect for them also (shower/toilet separate from sink/mirror/counter so all could get ready). Small TV & DVD player in loft area also. There is a small pool 100yds away that was never crowded. The campus is very hilly. Great workout for morning walks/jogs. Marked 5K route is very nice too. Deck overlooks the lake but no lake access. The Tan-Tar-A main campus is about 1.5 miles away on a very windy road. The shuttle is not available so you would need to rent a golf cart or drive if you were utilizing the amenities there (bowling alley, arcade, restaurants, water park which all have a cost involved). Our families did the arcade, very fun! Rental was very clean. There are steps down into the living space from the entrance & bedrooms. WI-FI available. Washer & Dryer. Plenty of linens, utensils, basic cooking supplies. Bring trash bags & paper products. Things to do....Fantasy World Caverns, Ha Ha Tonka State Park, Putt-n-Stuff go carts, Pappos Pizza, Outlet Malls, State Park Beach #2!"

  • Fun Family Holiday July 2014

"This was our 2nd time staying at the house for a week. The house was super clean upon arrival and very welcoming. The description of the the rooms, amenities, entertainment, outdoor area and activities is accurate. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, martini deck and dock depending on the daytime and temperature. Since the house is perfectly located one has a great few of the little Niangua arm and boating activities, but it isn't as busy being at the Main Channel. We all enjoyed swimming right of the dock. Overall the lake offers many great activities for every age and interest. One can especially enjoy boating and other water activities right by the house. To Camdeton it is only a 10 Minute drive, Sunrise Beach the same. Sightseeing is great-I recommend Ha Ha Tonka State Park, Bridal Cave, State Park of Hwy 42, all within a 15-45 minute drive. Golden Rock Winery in Camdeton is a great place to eat and taste their excellent wine. In Sunrise Beach I recommend the Sunrise Cantina and Cannon Smoked Saloon. Osage Beach is easy to get to either by taking the Toll bridge or Hwy 54 and offers great shopping and dining for everyone-I recommend the Outlets for shopping, JB Hooks & Baxter's Lakeside Grill (both offer fantastic views of the Main Channel). Many great restaurant are accessible by boat-I recommend Captain Ron's Bar & Grill (Sunrise Beach) and The Duck (Horseshoe Bend). For your everyday grocery shopping I recommend Wood's Supermarket in Sunrise Beach (Hwy 5), Wal-Mart (Hwy 54) in Camdeton or Hy-Vee and Dierbergs in Osage Beach. Thank you for sharing a great home."

  • Great Condo

"Our ladies group went to the lake for a weekend trip and all the ladies loved the condo. The pool was very refreshing, even though there was a little issue at first with an intoxicated individual, but it turn out to be a great evening at the pool. It was a very nice condo and the owner was very quick to answer any question we had. We will definitely remember this condo for our next adventure to the lake."
