  • Quiet, clean, and oh-so-chic!

"5 moms looking for a quiet escape had a grand time on the island! The condo was ultra cute, clean, and comfortable with a fantastic view of the main channel. The owner, Paula, was super nice and quick to respond to our pleas for help. She provided information about rentals, good places to eat, and the ferry. This condo is a deal and the ferry (which will be replaced with a land bridge in fall, 2014, I understand) is a fun adventure! Just plan your trips off on the island to leave at the top of the hour. Or stay on the island the whole time, like we did! If you are going to be doing any extra fancy cooking, you might want to bring any special supplies you may need. The kitchen is nicely equipped with basic supplies (blender, toaster, measuring cups and spoons, cheese grater, some bowls, a few cutting knives, a few pans, cooking spoons and spatulas, some cooking glassware, a can opener, cutting mats, a few food storage containers, spoons, forks, knives, plates, glasses, plastic cups -- almost all the basic supplies!). We wished we had packed a wine opener (which the condo typically has and Paula kindly offered to bring out to us (!!), but we found a helpful neighbor instead). The condo also provides 4 beach towels, kitchen towels, plenty of bath towels, some reusable grocery bags, sample sizes of shampoo and soap, a little bottle of liquid dish soap, a roll of paper towels, a couple dishwasher soap packs, and some fabric soap*. If you're staying longer than a weekend, you might want to pack trash bags, toilet paper, more dishwasher soap packs, a bigger bottle of liquid dish soap, extra paper towels, more dishwasher soap packs, and more laundry supplies. *Some of these may have been left over from a previous renter. I don't want to claim that the home-owner will always provide these things! The pool is very nice with a great view of the lake and a kid-friendly zero-entry end. The beach chairs a bit short on number (especially on Saturday) and there is no shade, so if you are inclined, we recommend throwing in that beach umbrella and a couple of chairs. We had a GREAT time relaxing on the deck (that's where we ate our meals), sleeping in, vegging by the pool, and generally enjoying ourselves. Other condo-owners were nice and helpful. I highly recommend this condo as a fun, relaxing place to stay! We're hoping to go back next time we're at the lake!"

  • Fun Family Holiday July 2014

"This was our 2nd time staying at the house for a week. The house was super clean upon arrival and very welcoming. The description of the the rooms, amenities, entertainment, outdoor area and activities is accurate. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, martini deck and dock depending on the daytime and temperature. Since the house is perfectly located one has a great few of the little Niangua arm and boating activities, but it isn't as busy being at the Main Channel. We all enjoyed swimming right of the dock. Overall the lake offers many great activities for every age and interest. One can especially enjoy boating and other water activities right by the house. To Camdeton it is only a 10 Minute drive, Sunrise Beach the same. Sightseeing is great-I recommend Ha Ha Tonka State Park, Bridal Cave, State Park of Hwy 42, all within a 15-45 minute drive. Golden Rock Winery in Camdeton is a great place to eat and taste their excellent wine. In Sunrise Beach I recommend the Sunrise Cantina and Cannon Smoked Saloon. Osage Beach is easy to get to either by taking the Toll bridge or Hwy 54 and offers great shopping and dining for everyone-I recommend the Outlets for shopping, JB Hooks & Baxter's Lakeside Grill (both offer fantastic views of the Main Channel). Many great restaurant are accessible by boat-I recommend Captain Ron's Bar & Grill (Sunrise Beach) and The Duck (Horseshoe Bend). For your everyday grocery shopping I recommend Wood's Supermarket in Sunrise Beach (Hwy 5), Wal-Mart (Hwy 54) in Camdeton or Hy-Vee and Dierbergs in Osage Beach. Thank you for sharing a great home."

  • Wonderful!

"This is the perfect place for anyone to stay. The condo was clean, decorated nicely, and best of all had plenty of room for my family and in-laws (8 people total). We all felt at home at the condo."

  • Family Weekend Get-A-Way

"Me and my family were traveling down to the lake for the weekend. I reviewed the towers and thought it would be the perfect place to stay. The good: 1. The condo was great. Perfect size for 6 of us to stay, beautiful views, great screened in porch, patio furniture and grill. 2. The dock was close for us to put our rental boat for a couple nights and sit on to enjoy the water. 3. The indoor pool/sauna/hot tub and workout facility was great when it rained the first day and the outdoor pool was fantastic the rest of the stay. 5. The complex is very clean and well maintained and close to everything on and off the water. The Bad: 1. The company that books this condo took forever to confirm the reservation. I called on a Monday with credit card in hand and did not have confirmation until Thursday. 2. Upon confirmation there were no directions on how to check in/check out, parking, or how to get to the condo or the complex for that matter. 3. Once to the condo, we found that all of the sheets from all 3 bedrooms were dirty and piled on the bed, the towels were all in the tubs still dirty from the people who stayed there before us. There were also no trash bags or toilet paper upon arrival. 4. After calling the management company about the mess, i then asked for the password for the wifi since the wireless router was sitting on the counter. I was told that there was no password and no wireless internet.... 5. The last disappointment came when we went to indoor pool/sauna/workout area. We were not given any code to get into the indoor pool which is required for entry. Luckily someone was kind enough to let us into the pool area but another fail on the management that booked the condo. Overall we had a great time when we were at the condo and would definitely return to this unit but would not ever book with the management company that rents it out again."
