Yogi Berra: "No one goes there anymore because it's too crowded." 😀
"It's actually not crowded at all, but Yogi's quote came to mind because I selfishly thought, if I and others give an honest review of this wonderful place it will become so popular that we'll never get future reservations! There's nothin not to love about this place...the log cabin (made by the owner himself...he used to build log cabins for a living) is lovely, the setting is incredibly private and quiet (the lack of noise actually woke us up the format night!), the 9 mile float was perfect (saw 4 deer, a bald eagle, many great blue and green herons). Cindy and Don were perfect innkeepers, very attentive to our needs. This will be our "go to" place from now on. I assume the weekends are more crowded, but that's a fact of life on Missouri rivers in the warm months. Midweek is perfect! We plan to rent the small cabin when it's just the 2 of us, and the larger one when we come with our high school friends and our prayer group. Plus...very good, inexpensive home cooking in Steeleville restaurants, especially Missouir Hicks BBQ."

There are lots of farms in Missouri but none quite like this...
"Found the Kick'n K Ranch and Farmhouse after an extensive Google search and am so glad I did. Was looking for the perfect outdoor getaway for a group of 12 guys seeking rafting and nature and couldn't be happier with my experience. The acreage and seclusion of the Kick'n K Ranch is incredible. Surrounded by rolling hills, trees, cattle and horses, the scenery in every direction was incredible. The proprietors, Tracey and Jeff, were awesome hosts, constantly exceeding expectations to make our stay a once in a lifetime event. Have already told my wife that we'll be going back as a family very soon."

"My husband and I (along with our two dogs) stayed at Three Pines for the Memorial Day Weekend. We had a great experience. Sheila was very helpful and communicative throughout the process of booking. The location of the house between Steelville and Cuba was great, Cuba is a cute little town and Frisco's was a nice option for dinner one night. We picked this location because it was dog friendly and had river access which worked out perfectly. We were able to fish and let our dog swim until he couldn't swim anymore! We also did a float down the Meramec and this was one of the best floats I have done in a while. The river is very clean and scenic (my husband fished and we did the 6 mile float which took us about 4 hours with several stops and little paddling). I would definitely recommend Three Pines for people traveling with dogs. Great little cabin in a great spot!"

"My husband surprised me with a romantic getaway at this beautiful house. I was able to rest, relax, and read a couple of good books. Can't wait to bring the kids with us next time....I know they will love it too. My boys will love all of the opportunities to run around in nature. It truly is a dream setting!"
