"I cannot believe the level of comfort, charm and nurturing this home has. The pictures do not do it justice. The living room and adjoining huge balcony overlooking the woods is so comfortable you forget the reason you came was to go outside ! The kitchen has every necessary convenience, and if it doesn't have what you need... Janine, the owner, will see to it you have it at a moments notice ;-> I traveled with my husband, my brother and his wife. All of us in our early 60's. We had a blast. The park is within 10-15 minutes drive and every day we had a new outing and hike. We loved being on the west side of the park, so much to see and do. You cannot tell by the pictures but the hot tub/sauna mentioned is in a completely separate building. In the garage area of the rental house is a huge area for ping pong and foosball. The property sits on 20 acres and there are at least three outdoor sitting areas that each offer a different perspective. If there are 2, 4 or 8 of you... there is plenty of room to get off by yourself too. WE had two or three places we were considering when we chose the Ox Yoke... We are all agreed we couldn't have done better. The owner, Janine, keeps a wonderful balance of being there if you have questions, but disappearing to make certain you are not disturbed. Never have we received the service nor the kindness to equal Janine's. We envy all who come here."

  • Relaxing Getaway

"We spent a week at this great riverfront home and enjoyed every minute. The neighboring houses were empty so we felt like we had the outdoors to ourselves. The outdoor firepit is enormous and there was plenty of firewood available. The river is clean and calm and the views of the mountains are beautiful. The house is clean, well-stocked, and modern but not fussy. We thought we might miss television and internet, but who wants to be inside when the weather is nice? Late nights we used the projection TV to watch a movie and it was awesome. The house is just a mile or so from downtown Seeley Lake which has a few shops and restaurants and a nice grocery store. I highly recommend dinner at Lindy's Steak House! If you are bringing a boat, check with the owners about the bridge height and width restriction if you plan to boat upstream to Seeley Lake. We had a ski boat that fit under the bridge, but a pontoon might not. This was one of the nicest houses we have rented through VRBO."

  • Great location and house

"Great rental home and location. The Madison river is a short walk away, and plenty of wildlife to watch right off of the back porch. Really enjoyed the wood fireplace, as we made fires every night. The kitchen was fully stocked which allowed us to cook each night. 60 minutes from West Yellowstone, 75 minutes from Dillon (beaver head/big sky rivers), and close to Bozeman. Perfect central location for all of the activities that we wanted to do. Can't wait to go back! Great owners, and very easy to work it."

  • Beautiful home with breathtaking views!

"This property will not disappoint! The minute you walk in the front door you feel at home. Nothing was overlooked as far as items you need while on vacation. Leave your shampoo/conditioner/body wash and hairdryers at home! Kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil and appliance you could want and then some. The hot tub was very clean and well taken care of. I usually stay away from them but this one was calling my name! The nights were very chilly (around 38 degrees) so we had a fire in the fireplace almost every night. The firewood stocked outside of the front door is a great bonus! My only complaints are the bath towels (although plentiful) were very small and thin. The ones for the hot tub were better. Also, there were no hangers in the closets. Most people renting this house are arriving by airplane from out of state and do not have room to pack hangers. My last complaint is that the beds were not overly comfortable. They were very soft and had no support. The down filled pillows were not great either. I did not want to leave Big Sky but I could not wait to get home to my own bed. That being said, I would not hesitate to rent this house again. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages. We had the best vacation EVER and loved staying in Big View Chalet!"
