"Five well-deserved stars! The owner's description is correct in every detail.
This is a spacious, well-outfitted and comfortable home. Excellent mattress in master bedroom (the only one we used), fully outfitted kitchen (coffee pot, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, nice stove and refrigerator), full-size washer and dryer, thoughtful touches like nightlights...this house is a home.
Stunning river and mountain view from cathedral-like windows in large living room. Large deck, comfy lounge chairs with pads, large gas barbecue, a Weber, large waist-high fire ring, a picnic table, an abundance of grassy yard with trees, and...
THE RIVER! Walk right in! Easy access; maybe a six-foot drop with a very good path. Easy to walk across the river when we were there. Great access on the opposite bank, both up and down stream as far as you want. Caught at least 10 fish a day (one evening, 5 in a couple hours), including a 14" rainbow and a 14" and 16" cutthroat, and a variety of other sizes, including brown trout.
"Hoot owl" fishing hours were imposed, but that does not apply to the East Fork were the Riverhouse is located.
We took many of the owner's suggested day trips (highly recommend the Big Hole National Battlefield and the East Fork drive to see the big horn sheep), and we turned off all the house lights and saw a bazillion stars from the deck...and we had a Nap's burger in Hamilton, too (the waitress told us they were just voted #1 Best Burger in Montana). The owner's suggestions all made for a wonderful vacation. (These are very pleasant owners who communicate promptly and clearly. Their written instructions even included photographs and were very helpful.)
This is a fantastic home for a relaxing vacation, and a stellar location for easy, fun fishing. Can't wait to return!"
