"The house and the setting are beautiful and relaxing. Almost every room has windows that bring the outside into the house. The layout is spacious and intuitively efficient. The appointments and furnishings are lovely and in keeping with the log cabin character of the house.
We stayed for 11 nights. Some days we stayed in and just kicked back, and many days we explored the area and hiked on the many trails in the valley. The house has lots of help with books about hikes and trail maps.
Although we went out to dinner a few times, more than on other vacations, we cooked because the kitchen was great, and it was just so pleasant to eat at "home."
The owner Amy couldn't be nicer or more helpful. She's a wonderful mixture of being available if you need her but never intrusive if you just want to be left alone. Her sheep and goats often come over to the guesthouse property and happily graze on the grass. The goats are a hoot as they try to grab branches on some of the trees by propping themselves up on the trunks.
This is one of the loveliest houses we've rented. It's someplace you could actually live and be content. I strongly recommend it."

"We stayed at Hayes Creek for our son's wedding in Hamilton. Steve and Lynn were very helpful from start to finish. The house was AMAZING! It was spacious, clean, and well supplied with necessities. The beds were very comfy. The yard was immaculate and huge! The location is perfect for peace and quiet. We held the rehearsal dinner at the house and everyone loved it! If we have occasion to be in Hamilton again we would stay here in a heartbeat! Thanks, Steve and Lynn!"

"Set on top of a hill, with commanding views across the valley towards snow capped (as of late April 2015) mountains. A well appointed spacious home, comfortable bed rooms, huge master suite, delightful kitchen with a good range of food prep tools. The owners are interesting, charming, fun to talk to, do not over hover, but are there when you need them. They built the house, for themselves and it feels that way, with that kind of care and attention to detail. The lay out for the house makes it perfect for larger groups, lots of space to convene , lots of space to get away from each other. There is good walking to be had straight out of the back door and the local town, has a good supermarket and is not far away. All that said You know how it is you see a place on the web and dither is this right? Should we book it? Is it as good as the pictures? Well on this one don't dither , it is as good as it looks."

"We rented the entire house and plenty of space. Two window units in the upstairs section and fans in the lower section.
Very spacious with plenty of sheets and towels, water pressure was low but it could be the cost effective shower head that makes it seem extra slow of course you want to ensure there is enough hot water for large groups during the winter times.
There is plenty of closed space in each room.
Wish we had better access to the river but still enjoyed throwing rocks into the water.
Outside patio was a nice addition to sit and relax at with a swinging bench to enjoy.
Two TVs upstairs and one in the downstairs with direct tv access on everyone.
Older house and great for outdoors adventures, there is an elk head mounted in the sitting area between levels.
You can get a good workout if you keep going up and down between levels.
Remember this is a ranch house and you may get some bugs.
We did get to see a turkey a few times and three white tailed deers wondered up to the barn area...a nice treat for the kids.
Grocery store and gas stations close by.
Missoula is 15 minutes away if you need more options in stores and dining.
Overall it took some getting use to since we had so much space to allow the kids to get lost. My 4 year old loved having his own house....one level was basically his to enjoy on his own.
Our group consisted of 4 adults and 5 kids ranging from 4-13 years old. We chose this location for its space to relax and take a few days off together."
