  • above the rainbows

"Welcoming atmosphere was the first impression of everyone arriving at the lodge, we had a two night family stay and all wished we had more time. A partially rainy day led to beautiful skies and rainbows that we were looking down on. Yep, had to get pictures of that! We all enjoyed hiking the mountain with the fall colors, exploring rock outcrops, tending the fire, cooking in the great kitchen. A special moment occurred when the almost two year old boy heard the piano for the first time. His face lit up, he circled the round room several times before finding his great grandmother at the piano. A first music lesson became a cherished memory for all of us. The comfortable beds, including a crib, the convenient bathroom setup and totally great space have the family hoping to come back again."

  • Loved it!

"My husband and I spent 4 nights at Withy Gate and were very pleased with it. Clean as a pin with everything we needed and more. Kris's personal touches were appreciated. Loved the patio area and it is located in a great location in Hamilton. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Exceeds Expectations

"The house and the setting are beautiful and relaxing. Almost every room has windows that bring the outside into the house. The layout is spacious and intuitively efficient. The appointments and furnishings are lovely and in keeping with the log cabin character of the house. We stayed for 11 nights. Some days we stayed in and just kicked back, and many days we explored the area and hiked on the many trails in the valley. The house has lots of help with books about hikes and trail maps. Although we went out to dinner a few times, more than on other vacations, we cooked because the kitchen was great, and it was just so pleasant to eat at "home." The owner Amy couldn't be nicer or more helpful. She's a wonderful mixture of being available if you need her but never intrusive if you just want to be left alone. Her sheep and goats often come over to the guesthouse property and happily graze on the grass. The goats are a hoot as they try to grab branches on some of the trees by propping themselves up on the trunks. This is one of the loveliest houses we've rented. It's someplace you could actually live and be content. I strongly recommend it."

  • GREAT Scrapbooking/Quilting Retreat

"This was our third time staying here - and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. It is a great place for us gals to get away and spend time doing what we enjoy - scrapbooking and sewing. Lots of room - lots of space - it is absolutely perfect for us. We all have our private bedrooms. In a secluded spot, yet close to town. My sisters from North Dakota joined us and really enjoyed Pineview as well. Can't wait to get together again!!"
