  • Beautiful Wedding Venue

"Our daughter chose this beautiful location for her wedding and reception. It was wonderful in every way and both the guest house and barn accommodated family and guests for the weekend. The house is charming with wonderful views from every window and has everything you could possible need for a pleasant stay. It is the ideal location for a large family event. We are grateful to Peggy for all she did to help make it such a special weekend."

  • Spacious ranch house

"We rented the entire house and plenty of space. Two window units in the upstairs section and fans in the lower section. Very spacious with plenty of sheets and towels, water pressure was low but it could be the cost effective shower head that makes it seem extra slow of course you want to ensure there is enough hot water for large groups during the winter times. There is plenty of closed space in each room. Wish we had better access to the river but still enjoyed throwing rocks into the water. Outside patio was a nice addition to sit and relax at with a swinging bench to enjoy. Two TVs upstairs and one in the downstairs with direct tv access on everyone. Older house and great for outdoors adventures, there is an elk head mounted in the sitting area between levels. You can get a good workout if you keep going up and down between levels. Remember this is a ranch house and you may get some bugs. We did get to see a turkey a few times and three white tailed deers wondered up to the barn area...a nice treat for the kids. Grocery store and gas stations close by. Missoula is 15 minutes away if you need more options in stores and dining. Overall it took some getting use to since we had so much space to allow the kids to get lost. My 4 year old loved having his own house....one level was basically his to enjoy on his own. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 5 kids ranging from 4-13 years old. We chose this location for its space to relax and take a few days off together."

  • Ski Trip Stay

"We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the river house. Most of our group had never been to Lost Trail and we really enjoyed getting to know the mountain, even though the snow conditions were marginal. It was spring skiing in February. Pretty easy to imagine how great it would be on a powder day! A fisherman in our group caught 2 Browns and 3 cutthroat after skiing - you don't get to that every day! The accommodations were perfect, very nice place to stay!"

  • Look no further for the perfect vacation/fly-fishing destination!

"We spent four days here in May to attend graduation and immediately knew we had to come back! We have stayed in VRBO rentals in Hawaii, Alaska, Arizona, Oregon, Nevada, the San Juan Islands and elsewhere, this ranks as the best to date!! The house is IMMACULATE as are the grounds, and set far enough off the highway for no road noise. Everything is well maintained and in good working order, the kitchen is well stocked and needs nothing. As for the fishing, we didn't need to leave the property once! There are so many spots to fish on what seems like miles of easily accessed river (Bitterroot)... The only tough decision was which spot to fish and when. The big front porch was a nightly hit, sitting with a glass of wine and watching the lightening over the mountains! Grocery shopping/Sporting goods are close by in Hamilton or an easy drive to Missoula. More than one evening I was joined on the river by a family of white tail deer. My only regret was deciding to fly and leaving my bicycle at home. I could go on and on, but until you visit words are just not enough! The fishing was so good I'll need Physical Therapy to rehab the tendonitis in my elbow..... Thank you Thomas and Marilyn for making this wonderful retreat available!"
