  • Best vacation ever

"This is the first review I have ever written, and for a good reason. We spent a week at Paul's ranch just outside Glacier National Park and it was probably the nicest vacation rental we ever had, not because the house was super luxurious (it isn't), but because of beautiful views, peace and serenity, and wonderful caretakers Janice and Colin. The location couldn't be better if you plan to visit different areas of the Park on the east side - about half an hour to both Many Glacier and Two Medicine. It is also about the same distance to the Canadian border, so you are planning a day trip to Waterton, you couldn't be better located. I usually prefer to stay within the park boundaries when visiting national parks, but in this case we really couldn't do better. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, everything you need is there, Janice was extremely nice and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. She brought a whole jar of homemade hot chocolate powder for my 11-year-old when he asked her if she has any. My kids loved the animals, and driving on the dirt road leading to the house through a herd of cows was the highlight of my son's vacation. Whenever there were no cows on the road, he considered the day wasted. The view from the porch is incredible. I am the early riser in the family, and I would sit there for a couple of hours each morning with a couple of coffee watching the sun rise. It is a really very nice place to stay when visiting GNP."

  • Log Cabin of our Dreams!

"My husband, two children age 12 and 10, and I spent a magical 9 days here during Christmas. Absolutely everything about this cabin and our stay was perfect. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by owners Tom and Julie, who gave us a quick tour of the home which was immaculate and beautiful. From the moment we entered it felt like home and I can't tell you how delighted we all were after a day of travel to walk in and see a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and a fire in the fireplace beckoning us to get comfortable. The cabin is cozy and warm with a perfectly rustic feel, while also being upscale and roomy. The home and grounds are absolutely picture-perfect and exceeded any and all expectations. The towns of Whitefish (eat at Tupelo Grill) and Bigfork (Showthyme was amazing) are charming and a close enough drive for dinner, but some of our favorite evenings were spent cooking dinner and relaxing at home. There is a firepit out back near the stream where my family delighted in roasting smores a couple nights, once while it was snowing! For sure some of our favorite memories of the trip! Every morning, waking up and looking out at the spectacular view, and at the various wildlife going about their business, was literally breathtaking. I cannot say enough incredible things about this cabin or the hospitality offered by Tom and Julie. We WILL be back!!!"

  • winter getaway

"If you want a really awesome getaway and are into snow, this is it! The Cabin is beautiful, Mission oak, leather seats, tastefully done and on a river with huge snow capped peaks. Pretty much what you would picture for an ideal mountain getaway but by no means a Spartan cabin- it is well done and there is also a big garage. Winter is a tough season in Montana but if you really want a winter adventure this is the place. This would really be awesome in the summer but for an offseason adventure you can get a great deal and it is very comfortable. A far different experience than a tropical island but highly recommended. Road access is very good and they keep them clear in the winter but you are still far enough out to get a "real" mountain adventure."

  • Perfect

"Our family has been vacationing at Echo Lake since the 1970's. This year we decided to rent something a little nicer - and it was worth every penny! 'The Point' has it all: a beautifully remodeled home with all the room and amenities you need, a kitchen/dining/front room area great for hanging out and playing games with the kids or enjoying a nice meal, and incredible views with balconies on both sides (we ate several meals on the covered patio and enjoyed the views). The house is fully stocked with just about anything you'd want and has a brand new dock to park your boat, lay in the sun, or let the kids jump off. We particularly enjoyed the fire-pit within the trees and surrounded by the lake: we did s'mores and hot dogs with the kids every other night. I highly recommend The Point - but don't take my week - we are booking for next year ASAP!"
