  • Best Views! Most Relaxing Location! Wonderful Hostess!

"We just returned from a 2-week road trip across the US. We stayed 2 nights at Elk Willows, and everyone in our party agreed it was one of the highlights of the trip. The pictures just do not even do the place justice. The sunrise and sunset views were spectacular. The silence there was wonderful. Our 10-year-old daughter had the best time there simply playing outside with the neighborhood friendly dogs and the ranch's alpacas. She now wants to move to Montana. :) The lodge was so very clean and comfortable. Our family of 3 was traveling with my parents. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Our only regret was that we didn't book it for longer. I would love to sit on the front porch and just watch the endless views for several days. Glacier National Park is a simple, short drive away as is the Canadian part of the park in Waterton. The border crossing was not crowded and was easy and quick. We found the east side of Glacier nicer and more picturesque than the west side. We saw lots of bears while in and around the park. We saw elk at sunrise on the ranch. Janice was so helpful and nice. She supplied us with bear spray and told us how to use it. :) She also cleaned daily and brought us some delicious homemade caramels! She makes you feel like you've known her for ages. I had to resist the urge to hug her goodbye after just 2 days! If you want solitude and beautiful views, book Elk Willows. We loved it and hope to visit again someday."

  • 7 women on a ski trip

"Easy walk to the slopes. Not huge, but bigger than expected from pictures. More than enough room for our group of 7 women. Entryway storage for skis. Lots of hooks for coats etc in the entry way and bedrooms. Lots of nice towels. Owners were quick to respond to questions. Loved it."

  • Family reunion

"The house, beautiful yard, and surrounding scenery made for an awesome family reunion site. We felt right at home as all the accommodations were great. This property made it easy for us to gather for meals inside or BBQ outside. Rooms are good sized and beds are very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the early morning hours with a cup of coffee at the picnic table listening to the doves coo. We even had the opportunity to meet the property owners who are very nice folks. We enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again."

  • Excellent rental and experience

"Can not say enough good things about the Homestead. Great access to fishing on the blackfoot, north fork of the blackfoot, and multiple creeks on the property and nearby. The property is very close to the amazing wilderness complex where you can hike for months without ever hiking the same trail twice. The house is in a wonderful location with great views. The house is modern as far as the appliances and such, but still retains a nice ranch/cabin feel. I highly recommend a visit here."
