  • Visiting Family in Area

"This Cabin and Kate her husband and Newman (their Pup) is so highly recommended , this cabins decor and furnishing are so welcoming , so perfect. The owners greeted us so kindly. The cabin is well stocked with spices , utinsels , cooking accs. We made Thanksgiving dinner 2 times with 6 of us total. And it was in no way cramped. My family enjoyed the experience as well. Thank you Kate. You guys are so sweet. Sad I didn't get to meet Shelley. I did meet her husband. He was so sweet. Loved the area. So private. And the xm radio was great. Thanks again. From our family to yours. Happy Holidays. And Merry Christmas. Dwayne Tami and pups. :D"

  • Awesome Place!

"Some friends and I stayed at this place in late September of this year to do some golfing and it was great. Really close to allot of great courses and I liked the fact that it was up the mountain a little bit. The house itself was really nice, lots of space for all of us (six guys) and the property itself was beautiful. Great view of the lake and a huge yard and fire pit. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!"

  • Fall Foliage on Flathead

"Due to the unusually cool summer, our trip happened to coincide with the peak of fall foliage in Glacier this year. It was spectacular. The Flathead and Swan Valleys have been one of our favorite (and most frequent) vacation destinations these last 14 years, but we had never seen it in September until now. It was just beautiful. The house was great, it was well appointed, the kitchen had all the necessities, (including cooking spices, etc), and the sunsets were amazing. My three year old daughter had to "take care of the trees" by hugging every one of them each time she climbed the stairs. It's a memory we will all enjoy for years to come. It is easily one of the nicest vacation rentals around "greater Bigfork", but what truly sets this one apart is its owner. She went out of her way to keep our vacation relaxed and worry free. She was so easy to deal with and kept the "rules" simple. Just treat the house like you would your own. That seems obvious to most people who would pay $5,000 a week for lodging but you might be surprised by the unreasonable rules at other area homes. We actually chose a home on neighboring Swan Lake initially, (despite the higher price tag), but the contract was so unreasonable, it was hard to imagine having any fun at all. Who wants to spend their vacation worried about getting fined for leaving the TV remote on the wrong table? That's when we found Bert's beautiful home, but what sold us on this rental was her easy going nature. This was a beautiful property with a very helpful and pleasant owner, and it made for a perfect vacation. We would encourage anyone considering a stay in Bigfork to call Bert and decide for yourself. We will definitely rent from her again when we return. (Although we might try out the Swan River property next time just for fun.) EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! ABSOLUTELY CHOOSE THIS RENTAL! (Oh, and the deposit was returned in full the day after we checked out.) - Thanks again for a great time!"

  • Clean and Nice!

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Eagles Nest. It was a beautiful home and was nicely decorated and very clean. It was perfect for us, a couple with 2 children. Beds were super comfortable. It was on a nice quiet street. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there was no WIFI and minimal television channels. When we arrived there was smoke from forest fires and we could not do internet research or find any news about what was going on. Fortunately the smoke cleared. The price was great but I think I would rather pay a little more for WIFI."
