Best of Both Worlds!
"I'm almost hesitant to write this review because I don't want everyone to find out about this little gem. We could not have asked for a more perfect setting/location. This quaint cabin is nestled onto a serene, tree-shaded hillside just steps away from the Swan River and Nature Trail. We had deer wandering through the yard in the mornings while we were enjoying our coffee in the lawn chairs, and we fell asleep to the sound of the river every night. The cabin itself is older, but has an interesting history and is clean and nicely furnished. The living room is situated so that someone on the pull-out couch can sleep without other people having to come through the room to access the kitchen/bathroom, etc.
The very best part about this rental is that even though you FEEL like you're miles away in this peaceful, private setting, it's just a quick two block walk down the hill to Bigfork Village. We didn't have to use the car for two days.
Byron and Dana are very pleasant owners and easy to deal with. We enjoyed reading about the history of the cabin and water tower, and the free "library" at the base of the driveway is a cute and fun idea. My son made use of the tennis equipment that was provided (free courts just down the street). We loved everything about this place and were truly sad to leave. I hope to be back with my husband later this year. I'm sure it's just as beautiful in any season."

"We had a wonderful month in this roomy townhouse, provided with high quality comfortable furnishings and tasteful appointments. Large windows and high ceilings allow light to stream into the living area, enhancing the spacious setting. The view of the harbor from the western facing balconies is a perfect place to enjoy wine in the afternoon.
The home is very clean and well-maintained. Closets are very large and the kitchen is extremely well-equipped. Likewise, the bedrooms are very roomy.
Bathrooms are generously sized, with ample drawers and counter space. The large walk-in showers are equipped with wall and overhead rain fixtures -- the best shower ever!
A large upstairs loft with a desk and printer can serve as an office or getaway area to read. A comfortable foldout sofa and privacy screen create another bedroom if needed.
An elevator is available to transport items to the main level. The laundry area has ample folding counters and access to the elevator is but a few steps away.
This townhouse has everything you need for a comfortable stay away from home. The owner was very easy to work with and provided prompt answers to our questions. We look forward to staying here again."

"This log home is one of the most beautiful homes our family have stayed in. The entire house was tastefully decorated and extremely clean, the kitchen was large and spacious, the beds were very comfortable and warm. The yard was huge, clean and the air was so fresh. We enjoyed the peace, quiet and rest away from the big city life. The deers and wild turkeys that came into the yard was a welcome site. The lettuce, herbs and peppers from kitchen garden was great to have at hand. Our experience was awesome and we will definitely hope to come back again.
Renae and Mark, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, we can see your home was built with love and care."

"We were three generations staying in this beautiful, comfortable, peaceful home. Our ages ranged from 5 to 83 and every single one of us was delighted with this house and would be happy to return some day. The 4 bedrooms provided plenty of privacy. The two garages (garage door openers provided) were very convenient. The well-stocked kitchen meant all we needed were groceries to cook any meals we wanted. There was a place for everyone with the spacious living room, the TV area off the breakfast nook and the rec room downstairs. The master suite is very large with a king bed, office area, walk-in closet, double vanity, enclosed shower and jetted tub. The view of Flathead Lake is breathtaking. The trees are limbed just right to provide a view and shade. The sounds of the waves on Flathead lake lulled us to sleep. And even though it was October and a little cooler while we were there, we enjoyed the decks and the dock. The grounds are well kept and the location is very private, being on Flathead Lake Lodge property. It is very close to Bigfork by car, but maybe too far to walk for most."
