  • Good but lacking in some areas

"The house was great and the location was perfect and easy to get to but there was some things that should have been looked after before we arrived, for instant there was very little to no propane in the BBQ tank, we got one use of the BBQ and we had to go get the tank filled, there were no BBQ utensils at all so we had to go buy them as well. The kitchen was lacking in cooking utensils as well and brings toilet paper because there is not enough supplied, so again we had to go buy some. (We were 6 adults there for 1 week) Having a 2 garbage bag limit is not enough for someone who is staying for a week or more, a map showing where we could go and dispose the garbage would help a lot. This place is not safe for young children, there are huge gaps in the railing going down the stairs and a child could easily fall though them, plus being very close to the water a life jacket would be recommended for very young children. We were there in early August and there seems to be a wasp problem this year so bring 2 or 3 wasp traps with you, if not you won’t be able to eat anything outside. Don’t get me wrong the place is good and there are a lot of positives about the house, I just wanted people to know that they may need to bring extra things with them so they don’t get stuck going back and forth to the store. One more thing, don’t try and fish off the dock because you won’t catch a thing. You have to get a boat and go to the middle of the lake if you want to fish."

  • 2013 Summer Vacation

"Outstanding! We've been coming over to Flathead Lake for the past 10 years; waterskiing, tubing, fishing and relaxing with family and friends. Rare to find a place like this. The location is great. Calm water for skiing, close to fishing and Wild Horse Island. The house set up is perfect; loft upstairs for kids, 2 large bedrooms on main floor and huge private bedroom with walk-out deck below. Big backyard with plenty of room for kids to play. Beach is pebble with gentle slope into the water. Kids and dogs swam all day. Great Shore Station/Boat Lift and dock. We enjoyed every evening by the Fire pit. Owners are involved if you have any questions. Thanks Ellen, we hope to be back again!"

  • Flathead Lake Vacation

"Great time. The cabin\house is a charm - great details in making it a "cabin". All the supplies were at hand, including an awesome Webber BBQ on the huge upper deck and fully equipped pool table. We rented a boat for the week at Lakeside marina and it worked flawlessly. There was rarely another boat in the waters in front of the cabin. We skied our brains in th mornigns and evenings, boated around the shores in the evenings; awesome weather and water. If the place could use one thing it would be an extended deck (make it an "L" shape). Although there was a buoy to tie into at night, an L shaped dock would make it compliant for tying down boats overnight plus give that added room for lawn chairs and water toys. Great golf courses in the area as well. Eagle Bend was pricy but immaculate. I think the greens were running about 13 or 14 (ridiculously fast). Northern Pines was more afforable and the back nine was beautiful - tucked away in the trees along the river. Wild horse island was agreat place to hike and anchor for some real quiet time. All in all - super week starting with the house on the lake!"

  • Fantasic

"We had a great time at this house with our sons and their families. It has a very private beach area which is somewhat protected by docks and a marina so we felt safe having the kids swimming and snorkeling out a ways while the younger ones skipped rocks. The fire pit was not only for roasting marsh mellows but provided the ambiance for telling stories around the fire. The road out front has little traffic so it is a great place to take a walk or jog. We found the house had all the conveniences and was well stocked with the necessities and the owners were helpful and courteous. We have wonderful memories of our time at this Flathead Lake property and hope to do it again sometime. I would recommend this property for a visit to Flathead Lake."
