  • Good overall

"We really liked this property, very nicely decorated. Knew ahead of time that there was no TV and didn't miss it since we only stayed one night. However I can see this being an issue if you are staying there longer since the nearest towns are 1/2 hour away. Had a rain storm that night and roof leaked, lucky it was not over the bed."

  • Perfect vacation home

"We stayed here with a group of 8 (3 couples, 2 individuals), and the house was perfect. The kitchen had every utensil, pot, pan, etc you would need to make large meals for everyone. There are 3.5 bathrooms, which was a nice bonus we found out when we got there. 2 full baths attached to main rooms, and a 3rd full in the main upstairs area. The half is part of the laundry room. The dock and outside area is fantastic. There is a large, flat yard and tons of dock space for anything you want to do. We used the kayaks, paddle board, and rented a boat part of the time. The water around the area is about 4 ft deep and inside a large cove area so it's very calm. We had no need to find out if the lift in the boat house worked. There really isn't a downside I can speak to, and we plan to rent the house again."

"My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights. The home is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possible need to make your stay comfortable. Randy met us at our arrival and went over things and provided information about the area that was very helpful. The wrap around deck and hot tub are awesome. You can look out at the lake in reclining chairs and sit in the hot tub and watch the deer eat from the fruit trees in the yard. It was the perfect location for us for hiking in the Jewel Basin Area and Glacier National Park. It was the perfect choice and if we are ever in the area again we will certainly try to stay again. Thank you Randy and Cindy for sharing your wonderful chalet."

  • Truly - "The Last Best Place"!!!

"It is rare that we stay anywhere in the world where we can truly say - "this exceeded our expectations" and we have fairly high expectations. Trust us - stay here and your expectations will be exceeded - guaranteed! In short, staying in Montana, in Flathead County area, in Lakeside, and at Linda and Wayne's thoughtfully planned and exquisitely manicured VERY secluded (peaceful) "home" is sincerely a dream vacation. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that hasn't been thought out as far as your needs no matter how long or short your stay. Just bring you and your clothes. (PS - the weather at Lakeside can be volatile ranging from shorts to needing to pack for snow). The winsomeness of Linda and Wayne is commendable. How rare it is to be so welcomed in to someone's home and instantly be made to feel like you are a lifelong friend. That is how it feels to stay at one of Linda and Wayne's "condos". Privacy, Serenity. Unparallelled vistas. Crisp, clean air. Apples. Cherries. Flowers. Green grass. Gardens. Tress, trees, and more trees. Solitude. Rest. Re-creation. Peace. Gentle breezes. Lapping water. Trickling fountains. Eagles. Deer, deer, and more deer. Ospreys. Crystal, crisp glacial waters. Mountains. I could go on and on and on - but honestly we are torn, because as we told our hosts we are conflicted between sharing the joy and beauty of staying here and keeping this gem all to ourselves - LOL. We highly recommend you call for your reservation as far in advance as possible for the simple fact that return guests come back again and again and again. We booked a year in advance. Finally - within 5 minutes drive to "downtown" (ha ha) Lakeside you have the Tamarack Brew Co to eat at, Blacktail (MT) grocery, gas station, Homestead and Farmhouse breakfast restaurants (old/classic and new eclectic respectively), Seven upscale restaurant, and a DQ. Drive slowly and enjoy the deer eating roadside. PSS - Insider note - inquire about securing a "private" lake tour with Linda and Wayne. Weather and their schedules permitting - this is priceless and memorable. Thank you Linda. Thank you Wayne. We will be back!!!"
