  • Beautiful Home with Beautiful View of Glacier NP

"We have stayed in VRBOs from the Florida Keys to the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington but this is an amazing property to consider for your vacation. The home is decorated with eclectic and rustic touches yet perfectly blended with modern amenities. The house exceeds expectations and the pictures really don’t do it justice. The house is as described with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, great room with satellite TV, dining room, wraparound deck, laundry facilities and a finished basement with another TV family room. It was also very clean. We didn’t plan on eating so many dinners at home but the home was so enjoyable with the wraparound deck surrounding almost the entire house, we couldn’t resist staying in and grilling on the BBQ so we could enjoy the view and the house. We spent the week exploring Glacier National Park. During our visit in early September we noticed the weather at West Glacier was about 10-20 degrees warmer than East Glacier; which is also windier. East Glacier had gotten several inches of snow and Montana had actually shut key roads needed to explore the other sections of the Park—which we highly recommend as they are less populated and just as beautiful. The house does not have Wi-Fi but does have good cell coverage; at least for Verizon subscribers, so we were able to check road conditions before heading out. There is a train track about a half mile from the home with trains going by several times a day and in the night. We found the train to be fun; fitting in with the eclecticness of the house yet it could be a frustration to light sleepers. The homeowners (Marcey and Rich) live on the property and this is their house when it isn’t rented. We had pleasurable conversations with them, enjoyed their company greatly and enjoyed seeing their daughters, 3 dogs and horses, but you do have this slightly peculiar feeling that you displaced a family. Even in the early morning the family dogs will stop by and peer in the window with a bewildered look as if to say, “What are you doing in our house?”. This is a fantastic property and we loved our stay! It is close to a couple small towns (Hungry Horse, West Glacier & Coram) with restaurants and a small grocery store. It’s just a couple miles to the west entrance of Glacier National Park and about 20 minutes to Columbia Falls (a good size town with more services, restaurants and larger grocery store). We highly recommend this property and will stay here again when in the Glacier area."

  • Great place to stay while visiting Glacier, Flathead Lake!

"Spent a week here while visiting Flathead Lake and Glacier Nat Park in August with my two children (ages 6 & 9). This condo is very comfortable and a great value for the price! Big Mountain is pretty empty during the summer, which if you like peace and quiet is a definite selling point! There are activities right on the mountain though, such as the Alpine Slide (super fun for kids and adults), zip line, walk in the trees, mountain biking, hiking and riding the chair lift. Downtown Whitefish (which has everything you might need) is a quick 15 min drive and its about an hour to the entrance to Glacier. This condo is on the top floor, which is also nice. It is literally 100 feet down the hall from the rooftop deck with gas BBQ, sitting tables & chairs, Hot Tub, and a great view of Flathead Lake! There's an underground parking garage with easy elevator access and hotel style luggage carts that make it easy to unload the car and haul all of your stuff to the condo. At the end of a long day out exploring, it was nice to call this "home" and be able to make a home cooked meal instead of having to always eat out. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Perfection!

"We rented the Red Meadow cabin which is 5 mi north from Polebridge, MT. It is remote but well worth the drive!! The view from the front porch of this cabin is incredible with a rushing river and mountains that tower above. The morning sunrise... breathtaking!! The cabin is very well appointed with everything we needed (with the exception of a wine opener). Cabin was very clean and even had fresh ice made in the freezer- a nice touch since when we arrived it was 92 degrees. No detail was left out in this cabin... from extra blankets, a fishing rod in the corner and even a slingshot for the kids to have some fun with. We spent many evenings at the river cooling off or having rock skipping contests. The Polebridge Mercantile had the best Huckleberry Macaroons and Home Ranch Bottoms had fantastic smoked pulled pork sandwich. We hope to be back one day... thank you for sharing this slice of heaven with us!"

  • Living in the Round

"This was one of the best choices we made in our trip to visit Montana. The yurt was an unbelievable experience that we hope to do again. We found the yurt clean, well kept, and having all the necessities to cook our own meals. Of course we had to eat at the Merc, don't pass on a bear claw or the cookies, and the Northern Lights one night, but the yurt had everything we needed. It is in a great location just far enough away from the busy bustle of the Merc yet close enough to walk to it and play some volleyball. I would and will recommend this place to anyone traveling to Glacier National Park."
