  • Fabulous cozy retreat on Flathead Lake

"My husband and I rented this fabulous little cabin for a week in August, 2014. The owners were fabulous to work with and the cabin was neat, cozy, clean, & private which is just what we were seeking. Owner Melanie was friendly and very concerned with our having a fabulous time (we didn't get to meet her husband, Joe). The kitchen was functional and quite well equipped and we spent hours on the beach, dock, and covered porch overlooking the lake. The bathroom was really nice and the bed cozy with a window overlooking the lake. It was a bit on the chilly side for the time of year we were there and we even had a fire one night in the wood burning stove (wood supplied by rental owners). We brought our 2 mini doxies & border collie and they also had a fabulous time and got to meet the owners sweet German Shepherd, Matador. The cabin is kind of slightly off the beaten path, and the area was great for walking the dogs and enjoying all Montana has to offer. A short day trip and we drove the "road to the sun" highway in Glacier Park, explored Lakeville and a couple of the other towns (we mostly ate in at our cabin, but there are some fabulous restaurants in Lakeville, too). We hope to come back and stay in this cabin again in the next few years! Thanks, Melanie & Joe!"

  • Great Getaway Spot

"While visiting Missoula for a wedding my family chose to spend the week prior at this wonderful home. Mike and Jill met us at the house even though we arrived later than intended to give us a tour and fill us in on the area. We really enjoyed our time in and on the lake taking advantage of the fishing equipment, kayak and canoe. We also enjoyed hours on the deck watching the many hummingbirds and occasional deer walk through the yard. The kitchen was very well equipped and allowed us to enjoy many of our meals at the house. The location was an easy drive to Glacier National Park and Whitefish Lake. This is a great house for larger families (we had a total of 6 adults and could have had more). There was plenty of room for everyone to get together, yet areas to have some quiet time as well. I hope many others get to enjoy the great get away!"

  • Family week in Glacier 8/23 to 8/30/2014

"Spent a week here...had no issues from ease of check in to check out..home is nicely furnished and comfortable after long day of hiking in Glacier. We made breakfast several days (other days we had muffins and baked goods for the store and bake shop in town - excellent food) before leaving for the park and also used the grill several times...everything we needed was present. We are all so glad we decided to stay in East Glacier and not West Glacier...it was prefect for our needs...we highly recommend to anyone coming to visit Glacier Natl Park...access was quite easy to all area's and hikes we wanted to complete. Thanks again for sharing your home...looking forward to visiting again."

  • Perfect week at a truly great Montana river cabin

"My family and friends and I stayed at the Clark Fork River Lodge for a full week in August, 2014. We had a full house for most of the time and the lodge was large enough to accommodate all of us. It was beautifully situated on the Clark Fork. The walk down to the river needed to be navigated carefully, but nobody fell or injured themselves on it. Once on the river, there was ample space for fishing, floating, or just sitting back and enjoying the scenery. The girls in the group visited the Superior Rodeo on a Friday night and had a blast. The boys rafted down the Flathead and also had a great time. Both were pretty close and did not require too long of a drive. St. Regis is only about 10 minutes away and great for grabbing the essentials. I would absolutely recommend the Clark Fork River Lodge for those trying to getting away from it all who enjoy the outdoors."
