  • Perfect Fall Weekend

"The best thing we liked was the great views from the house onto Flathead Lake and being right on the water. We brought our kayaks and launched right from the beach below the house. Even my 87 year old mother-in-law joined us for a kayak ride to look at all the beautiful houses along the shore. Navigating the many stairs to get from the house down to the beach was challenging, but a good work-out :) The only disappointment was one very small bathroom for 7 adults. We wished there would have been a second bathroom in the lower level of the home where bedrooms are located, especially during the night. The stairs between the main level of the home to the lower level are narrow and steep probably due to the age of the home. Everyone had a great time and details offered to guests were not overlooked by the owners."

  • Exceeds Expectations

"The house and the setting are beautiful and relaxing. Almost every room has windows that bring the outside into the house. The layout is spacious and intuitively efficient. The appointments and furnishings are lovely and in keeping with the log cabin character of the house. We stayed for 11 nights. Some days we stayed in and just kicked back, and many days we explored the area and hiked on the many trails in the valley. The house has lots of help with books about hikes and trail maps. Although we went out to dinner a few times, more than on other vacations, we cooked because the kitchen was great, and it was just so pleasant to eat at "home." The owner Amy couldn't be nicer or more helpful. She's a wonderful mixture of being available if you need her but never intrusive if you just want to be left alone. Her sheep and goats often come over to the guesthouse property and happily graze on the grass. The goats are a hoot as they try to grab branches on some of the trees by propping themselves up on the trunks. This is one of the loveliest houses we've rented. It's someplace you could actually live and be content. I strongly recommend it."

  • Family Reunion

"We spent our 4th of July holiday/family reunion in The Conductors House. Our week spent there was amazing! The property and views were beautiful and accommodated all 11 of us perfectly. The additional house was ideal for the kids and allowed us adults to relax carefree. The house felt like home and we easily made it our own. None of us wanted to leave and we are already talking about our next trip. Linda, thank you for opening your home (not sure I could if it was mine) and all the little extras (the kids loved the smores and next time we come back we will replace the ice cream). Coffee on the back porch with the deer strolling by and sunsets to die for...I will never forget the time we spent. Next time I'm bringing my telescope."

  • Perfection!

"We rented the Red Meadow cabin which is 5 mi north from Polebridge, MT. It is remote but well worth the drive!! The view from the front porch of this cabin is incredible with a rushing river and mountains that tower above. The morning sunrise... breathtaking!! The cabin is very well appointed with everything we needed (with the exception of a wine opener). Cabin was very clean and even had fresh ice made in the freezer- a nice touch since when we arrived it was 92 degrees. No detail was left out in this cabin... from extra blankets, a fishing rod in the corner and even a slingshot for the kids to have some fun with. We spent many evenings at the river cooling off or having rock skipping contests. The Polebridge Mercantile had the best Huckleberry Macaroons and Home Ranch Bottoms had fantastic smoked pulled pork sandwich. We hope to be back one day... thank you for sharing this slice of heaven with us!"
