"I'm almost hesitant to write this review because I don't want everyone to find out about this little gem. We could not have asked for a more perfect setting/location. This quaint cabin is nestled onto a serene, tree-shaded hillside just steps away from the Swan River and Nature Trail. We had deer wandering through the yard in the mornings while we were enjoying our coffee in the lawn chairs, and we fell asleep to the sound of the river every night. The cabin itself is older, but has an interesting history and is clean and nicely furnished. The living room is situated so that someone on the pull-out couch can sleep without other people having to come through the room to access the kitchen/bathroom, etc.
The very best part about this rental is that even though you FEEL like you're miles away in this peaceful, private setting, it's just a quick two block walk down the hill to Bigfork Village. We didn't have to use the car for two days.
Byron and Dana are very pleasant owners and easy to deal with. We enjoyed reading about the history of the cabin and water tower, and the free "library" at the base of the driveway is a cute and fun idea. My son made use of the tennis equipment that was provided (free courts just down the street). We loved everything about this place and were truly sad to leave. I hope to be back with my husband later this year. I'm sure it's just as beautiful in any season."

"Due to the unusually cool summer, our trip happened to coincide with the peak of fall foliage in Glacier this year. It was spectacular. The Flathead and Swan Valleys have been one of our favorite (and most frequent) vacation destinations these last 14 years, but we had never seen it in September until now. It was just beautiful. The house was great, it was well appointed, the kitchen had all the necessities, (including cooking spices, etc), and the sunsets were amazing. My three year old daughter had to "take care of the trees" by hugging every one of them each time she climbed the stairs. It's a memory we will all enjoy for years to come. It is easily one of the nicest vacation rentals around "greater Bigfork", but what truly sets this one apart is its owner. She went out of her way to keep our vacation relaxed and worry free. She was so easy to deal with and kept the "rules" simple. Just treat the house like you would your own. That seems obvious to most people who would pay $5,000 a week for lodging but you might be surprised by the unreasonable rules at other area homes. We actually chose a home on neighboring Swan Lake initially, (despite the higher price tag), but the contract was so unreasonable, it was hard to imagine having any fun at all. Who wants to spend their vacation worried about getting fined for leaving the TV remote on the wrong table? That's when we found Bert's beautiful home, but what sold us on this rental was her easy going nature. This was a beautiful property with a very helpful and pleasant owner, and it made for a perfect vacation. We would encourage anyone considering a stay in Bigfork to call Bert and decide for yourself. We will definitely rent from her again when we return. (Although we might try out the Swan River property next time just for fun.) EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! ABSOLUTELY CHOOSE THIS RENTAL! (Oh, and the deposit was returned in full the day after we checked out.) - Thanks again for a great time!"

"This spacious yet cozy home exceeded our expectations and we would love to return. We are 2 families with 4 adults and 3 children aged 4-12. Because of the ski in-out access we were able to ski home for lunch each day. The kitchen is well stocked and for people who enjoy cooking (we do) the appliances were top. They even had plenty of dining linens which we love to use. Beautiful views surround. Quiet spaces to enjoy reading and privacy plus large area for watching TV and playing games together. The hot tub was enjoyed by all - every day- exceptionally clean! We enjoyed the skiing and there was plenty to ski for all levels from beginner to expert. Very friendly resort! Helpful, knowledgeable, and truly kind folks who work there. Great prices for skiing! Even have 50% off for military active duty and retired (family included).
This would be a beautiful place to visit anytime as there are many outdoor activities to enjoy. The vistas from the ski slopes are some of the most gorgeous we have ever seen and just for reference, we have skied throughout Utah, Colorado, California, East Coast, and Italian Alps.
The owners are responsive and easy to work with, they have thought of everything! Very comfortable beds and luxurious bed linens so we all slept well each night. We plan to return! Thanks a million Robin, we felt so at home!"
