"My family and I stayed here for the weekend. It was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The house is well-cared for and is very nicely furnished. It felt special and exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire every night (firewood was pre-chopped and provided), and the house was stocked with everything you would want. The house is also quiet and very convenient to good fishing. The owner, Justin, was also easy to work with. We loved it and hope to go back."

"I was lucky enough to stay at the R-House when in town for a concert. It's an older place that has been completely redone from top to bottom. Every surface is new, with a nice kitchen, a totally remodeled bathroom, and a very clean and comfortable feel throughout. There's a mostly-screened-in porch on the front and a deck out the back, and plenty of sleeping options (two double beds and two large futons). It's an easy walk to the downtown (and a little tougher a walk back as the streets are steep--I always get a chuckle out of the "No Parking November through April" signs on some side streets) and then you're right in the middle of the action. Granted, P-Burg doesn't have a lot of action after dark but it's bustling during the day. There are three places in town to "hunt" for sapphires (or you can be more authentic and make the pretty drive to a place by upper Rock Creek), the Sweet Palace with unbeatable fudge, chocolates, and taffy, and any other kind of candy you can think of (but be warned--they're closed Saturdays), two museums (one has a nice ghost town exhibit and the other is all about the history of law enforcement in Montana), the brewery (stops serving at 8:00 PM), and the Opera House. This would also be a great place to use as a home base to hit the lake, explore a ghost town, or go skiing in the winter. The owner was great to work with and I really can't think of anything negative to say about our stay! Hope to return..."

"The house is very comfortable for two adults. The third adult has to navigate a very small circular staircase. The appointments are very comfortable and the kitchen is equipped to cook, albeit in tight spaces. A more modern charcoal grill would be nice.
It also would have been nice to meet the owner since she lives right across a very small town."

"We definitely enjoyed our stay. The walk-out basement apartment was wonderful - easy access, clean, nicely decorated, full kitchen, laundry, comfy beds, ultra-quiet neighborhood, horses in a corral. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, waking up to deer in the yard...so relaxing. It was nicely located - not too far away from many great dirt roads leading up into the mountains where we found rivers, lakes, wildlife and lots of yard rocks to haul home. Great, great place; only one downside: we couldn't stay longer! Will be our go-to place to stay from now on when we are back in the area."
