  • Not our last stay in Philipsburg... loved Winnie's Cabin!

"We are currently moving to Montana from out of state to be near our kids. Winnie's Cabin was was a great place for our family to get acquainted with the Philipsburg area. We skied Discovery Basin, hung out at the Philipsburg Brewery, filled our 1 pound bags at the Candy Store, ate barbecue, and shared wonderful family time at the cabin. We will be recommending this VRBO to anyone looking to stay in Philipsburg! Many thanks."

  • River Quest

"Nice cabin. Nice amenities. Has all the basics for cooking in. Nice to have the daily maid service. Good location, easy access. Far enough off the freeway that you don't really have the white noise. One MAJOR issue: The shrubs need to be cut down so you can see the river from inside the cabin, as well as when you sit on the deck. The shrubs are so high, you can't really see anything but the guest cabin next door, which is way close. Too bad, given the fact it is a river cabin. Enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommend. Please cut the shrubs!"

  • Truly Amazing!! We can't wait to go back!

"My husband and I were lucky enough to get to spend a week here at Elk View Lodge and we had the most remarkable time! This was our first visit to Montana and we can not wait to go back. We drove up from Southern California and stopped along the way to see Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. Both completely worth the trip. When we arrived at Elk View, Steve was there to greet us. He showed us around the lodge and gave us a lot of information about adventures and place to see near by. Elk View Lodge itself was amazing. Very clean and well maintained, very spacious and plenty of room for a large family. The lodge was completely stocked with everything you will need. You will only need to bring your food. The kitchen was also completely stocked with everything from spices to a crock pot! Oh and what a view, spectacular! We visited Virginia City and Nevada City and had fun walking through site seeing and taking pictures. Ennis is the closest town with shopping and plenty of places to eat. West Yellowstone was about a 45 minute drive and was absolutely a must see. We also took a day trip to Jackson Hole Wyoming to see the Grand Tetons. Awesome! The town itself was a wonderful place to visit. Lots of cute boutiques, art museums, shopping and quaint restaurants. This is a place you will want to see. And if you are an angler, then you will be pleased! There are so many lakes, Quake Lake, Cliff and Wade Lakes and Ennis Lake, just to name a few. And of course the Madison river which is just down from the Lodge. These lakes are all beautiful and surprisingly not very busy for the middle of August. One day, Steve was nice enough to drive us up river so we could kayak back down to the lodge. That was so much fun! In the evenings we would sit out on the patio and watch the beautiful sunsets over the Madison River. A couple of nights we saw some incredible thunder and lightning shows. Not something we see to often in Southern California. Montana was truly an amazing place to see and Elk View Lodge is the place you will want to stay. Pam and Steve were awesome hosts and they have thought of everything you might need. The descriptions and the pictures are accurate but really do not do it justice. Your really have to see the place. I would recommend Elk View Lodge to any of my friends and family and we are looking forward to being able to visit again. Thank you Pam and Steve for a truly amazing vacation that we will never forget!"

  • Girls snowshoeing trip

"My Friend and I rented this little cute cabin for three nights. The cabin was a perfect size and had everything we needed. It was also very clean and cozy. There is no cell phone reception at the cabin, but that was just fine with us. The wifi was great, we were able to watch movies on netflix and on large TV available at the cabin. The mountains were so nice and close, it didn't take long to find some great snow to go snowshoeing in. The location was perfect for dogs, there is a good size little yard behind the cabin. I will definitely keep this cabin in mind for next years trip. Thank you!!"
