"We spent a wonderful week at Elk View Lodge. The views from every window were spectacular. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and well situated for those who want to fish, visit Yellowstone National Park, Virginia City and Wade Lake. Our friends from Maine joined us and we enjoyed all of the above, plus cooking, relaxing in the hot tub and reading on the screened-in porch. Our one complaint was that we only stayed a week! Steve offered us every accommodation and more than answered our questions. We hope to come back soon."

"Our family of 7 adults and two babies had a wonderful time staying at this gorgeous property. Beautiful and unpretentious accommodations - perfect for our family, and very child friendly with playpen and a dedicated child-sized play room. Kitchen was fully equipped, including pantry, and all appliances in great working order. Cozying up to the wood burning fireplace was the perfect way to wind down the cool mountain evenings. Stars at night from horizon to horizon. Elk, eagles, and even a bull moose steps away from our door. The house is tight, secure, perhaps not as much soundproofing as we would have liked (babies!), but the generous and open floor plan was inviting and made for a wonderful family atmosphere. Highly recommended, and our family looks forward to returning to this particular slice of wilderness paradise."

"It was great to unplug from the real world at this cabin. No TV, Internet or cell phone service, unless you go on top of the mountain.. Cabin is beautiful and cozy. Had amazing time with family, kids had a blast. Was great to see how kids have not even mentioned that they miss TV or computer games while at this cabin. They always had something to do, fish, swim, tube, play darts, board games, hike.. Taught my kids how to catch crawfish..The best thing was jumping in to the river of the big rocks, that brought back some great childhood memories..
It was amazing to wake up in the morning in to such a great view, nature and landscape there is amazing and peaceful.
Fishing was great, we caught about 7-8 Rainbow trout, one of them was about 25".
Thank you Ruth for letting us stay at your cabin, it was most amazing time.."
