"We hosted our son's wedding at the Black Mountain Lodge and could not have asked for a more beautiful setting or gathering place for our family and friends who joined us from across the United States. Everyone who stayed on site in one of the lovely, clean sleeping cabins all commented on how well they slept under the cozy down comforters. We were able to prepare and serve 100 guests from the well equipped kitchen - something our family's gourmet chef had to see to believe.
We reserved the lodge months in advance and Kim, the owner responded to all of our questions in a timely, friendly manner and the caretaker greeted us with a big smile and took the time to walk us around the property so that we felt right at home. We enjoyed feeding the horses before they were moved to a different place and can't wait to return to ride them when we have more time.
We hope to return to the Black Mountain Lodge in the future so that we can relax and reminisce about how perfect it was for the wedding and family gathering. We would highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to reconnect with nature, family and themselves, or for someone who wants to host a do it yourself wedding. You won't be disappointed."

"We stayed at this beautiful cabin for 3 nights. It was so wonderful to wake up in the mornings and step outside on the deck, with a cup of
coffee and the view of the gorgeous lake. It was so peaceful and quiet. We saw an elk in the
backyard and also a couple of bald eagles. We
couldn't find any hiking trails in walking distance from the cabin, so we just walked down the road for a mile and back. We drove one day to the left
of the cabin and there was some great valley views for spotting wildlife. We enjoyed the hot tub, bean bag toss and the pool table. There was a lot of toys for the little one and the safety gates were a plus. What I loved most was the ample amount of cooking utensils, kitchen gadgets, pots and pans, paper products, fluffy towels, and a closet full of everything you would need. We had a great stay and was between the towns of Anaconda and P-burg which we did visit both
towns and had a blast. If you love sunsets like we do you would definitely fall in love with the sunsets over the lake in the evenings. One thing more, this was the only cabin out of a hundred that I researched that didn't have a pet fee. :) :) :) We will definitely consider this cabin again when
visiting Montana and recommend to others."

"Great place for family reunions and special occasions. Lots of room to roam around inside and out. Never felt crowded even with 9 of us. Great view of Madison River; so quiet, safe and peaceful. Visited Ennis, Verginia City, Yellowstone Park, Grand Teton, Mesa Falls, West Yellowstone and so forth. Viking stove and burner top worked like magic, hot tub was a nice bonus. Owner Kim was wonderful and very flexible to work with. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was hard for us to leave. Would definitely go back and stay again when the right opportunities present themselves. Thanks for the wonderful memories."
