  • Awesome cabin

"We had an awesome stay at your cabin. It was clean and very comfortable. We loved the views from the deck. The fire pit was fantastic. Thanks for having all the kitchen amenities we could ask for! The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were great."

  • Truly Amazing!! We can't wait to go back!

"My husband and I were lucky enough to get to spend a week here at Elk View Lodge and we had the most remarkable time! This was our first visit to Montana and we can not wait to go back. We drove up from Southern California and stopped along the way to see Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. Both completely worth the trip. When we arrived at Elk View, Steve was there to greet us. He showed us around the lodge and gave us a lot of information about adventures and place to see near by. Elk View Lodge itself was amazing. Very clean and well maintained, very spacious and plenty of room for a large family. The lodge was completely stocked with everything you will need. You will only need to bring your food. The kitchen was also completely stocked with everything from spices to a crock pot! Oh and what a view, spectacular! We visited Virginia City and Nevada City and had fun walking through site seeing and taking pictures. Ennis is the closest town with shopping and plenty of places to eat. West Yellowstone was about a 45 minute drive and was absolutely a must see. We also took a day trip to Jackson Hole Wyoming to see the Grand Tetons. Awesome! The town itself was a wonderful place to visit. Lots of cute boutiques, art museums, shopping and quaint restaurants. This is a place you will want to see. And if you are an angler, then you will be pleased! There are so many lakes, Quake Lake, Cliff and Wade Lakes and Ennis Lake, just to name a few. And of course the Madison river which is just down from the Lodge. These lakes are all beautiful and surprisingly not very busy for the middle of August. One day, Steve was nice enough to drive us up river so we could kayak back down to the lodge. That was so much fun! In the evenings we would sit out on the patio and watch the beautiful sunsets over the Madison River. A couple of nights we saw some incredible thunder and lightning shows. Not something we see to often in Southern California. Montana was truly an amazing place to see and Elk View Lodge is the place you will want to stay. Pam and Steve were awesome hosts and they have thought of everything you might need. The descriptions and the pictures are accurate but really do not do it justice. Your really have to see the place. I would recommend Elk View Lodge to any of my friends and family and we are looking forward to being able to visit again. Thank you Pam and Steve for a truly amazing vacation that we will never forget!"

  • Can't wait to go back, We loved this place!!!!

"What a wonderful play to stay, we were close to downtown, so much to do in this cute little town. Checked out the Brewery, candy store, all the gem shops, and don't forget Friday Night Pizza!!!!! House was very clean and was stocked with everything we needed. Cute little fireplace was nice to curl up to on a cold night and played games with family. Can't wait to go back to Winnie's. I'm telling all my friends, this is the place to stay!!!!"

  • Our Home In Montana

"We have stayed at the R House for eight years now every Summer for a week or so. The place is clean and well furnished. The owners have become friends and Aspen one of the friendliest dogs we have ever met. The location is close to town and we walk the hill several times a day back and forth. We will be there again this year and will book once we establish dates. Our dog has been welcomed and enjoys it as much as we do. We have had as many as six people stay there at a time comfortably."
