"Our family frequently rents from VRBO and this home is easily the best we have found yet! Our group consisted of 4 adults and 5 teens (ages 13-19). The home had more than enough room for us. The bunk room in the basement is a teenager's dream come true! Two spacious bunks and a pool table and tons of board games! Not to mention a bathroom all their own. On the main level, there was a huge master bedroom with an amazing closet and big bathroom with a charming claw foot tub. There's even a make up mirror for those of us who may need a little extra help! On that floor there is also a smaller bedroom with a bunk bed. Both rooms have INCREDIBLE views. The two story living room had floor to ceiling windows, also with spectacular views. The big stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the room (well, that and the moose head hanging above it!) and the owners generously supply the firewood. What more do you need? The kitchen is lovely and so well equipped! We baked Christmas cookies one evening and did not lack a thing. I even packed parchment paper (just in case) and found that the owners had baking mats in the cupboard! We made a big dinner one evening and found everything we could have asked for. If you are a chef, this is the place for you! The laundry facilities are most ample, as well. On the top floor there is another large bedroom (again, the view!) with a large closet and attached bathroom. Two more bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom and complete the top floor. A dramatic catwalk connects the bedrooms. The home also has a lovely back porch with seating and a grill. Can not say enough about this home. The owners are lovely and responded very quickly to any questions we had. We hope to return to see Whitefish in the summer. We will definitely try to rent this property again! I agree that the photos do not do this home justice.
The property is less than 5 minutes (a simple drive) to the Whitefish mountain lodge and great skiing. It is also ski in ski out, but we did not get to experience this, as there was not enough snow. The town of Whitefish is inviting, as well. We dined and shopped one afternoon and wished our stay was longer. I have experienced Whitefish shopping the day after Christmas and it is not to be missed! We dined at Latitude 48 (something for everyone), Loula's (best breakfast and incredible pies!) and Cafe Kandahar (a true 4 star!) and loved them all. Whitefish is an undiscovered gem."
