  • Just what we needed

"We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and it was just wonderful. The house was clean and well stocked. We had forgotten coffee and were pleasantly surprised to find fresh Montana roasted coffee beans waiting for us! We had young kids (3 & 5) with us and they really enjoyed splashing about in the water and running around the yard. The stair/ladder to the loft was quite steep, but we managed to keep them from playing on it too much. Luckily there is a solid railing and gate at the top so we slept soundly knowing the kids wouldn't try coming down in the middle of the night. The hinges on the gate are loud so we could hear it open and close -- but we used a belt to "tie" the gate closed just for extra measure. The owners live right next door and are friendly. They had a paddle boat we could use and were kind enough to see if we needed anything they could grab at the grocery store when they headed into town. They could not have been more hospitable. This area of Montana is incredibly underrated and this house on Bull Lake makes a perfect home base to come back to after a long day of exploring. It's also perfect for relaxing by the water with a campfire and a good book. Our kids keep asking when we'll be going back to "Our New Lake House" -- I hope it's not long :)"

  • great location!!!

"This is a lovely cabin with lots of room and activities. Perfect for a family gathering. We enjoyed seeing the deer cruise through the property at dusk. We would definitely rent again. Thanks for great Montana memories!"

  • Awesome Property!

"This property is gorgeous inside and out! The bedrooms are spacious, each with their own full bathroom. The kitchen is extremely high end with very nice plates, dishes etc... The location is perfect. We walked right to the base lift out our back door and enjoyed the scenic chairlift to the top of the mountain where we had a delicious lunch. Glacier and the town of Whitefish are not far and we enjoyed several day trips from the property. Setting up the stay was easy and Margaret was available for all questions and concerns. I gave this property 4 stars because of the lack of air conditioning(which we were told beforehand by Margaret). Sleeping is on the 3rd floor and temps reached 90's for our entire stay. It did cool down at night but our neighbors had multiple generations of smokers outside our windows at all hours of the day and night and they stayed up late in the hot tub making noise in the wee hours of the morning. If this were winter this place would be a five star hands down! I would still recommend it, maybe we just had a patch of bad luck with the renters next door."

  • Calgary family of four including 2 teenage boys)

"Our family enjoyed this cottage and lake for 2 very relaxing weeks. It was wonderful to truly relax enjoying the peace and comfort of this lake cottage. We weren’t sure if two weeks at one lake would be too long but it was great. It worked largely because everything was so well set up. The canal connecting both lakes gave us the option of enjoying both a small and medium size lake. The lake was great for swimming, boating, and fishing. It was so nice to enjoy a lake with warm water. The pedal boat was great for fishing in the shallows. Steve and the boys caught a lot of small fish, a few medium fish, but never went deep enough for the big one. There were a lot of turtles in the water. It took a couple of days of hard work for our 14 year old son to catch one. Catching one was a highlight of the trip for sure. The crayfish are silly animals to catch – we let them all go. Sitting on the lake front with a camp fire many evenings was a very good family experience. The cabin had all the amenities we could want, easily accommodating all of our needs. The newly renovated bathroom was a bonus. We had a couple of rainy days that were perfect for visiting Libby and Kalispell, and do grocery shopping. We used WIFI to watch Netflix on a couple of those rainy evenings on the new big tv. Glacier Park is also close and so we made a couple of trips there, but our focus was truly to just relax and enjoy the lake."
