  • Amazing Location Ski in Ski out

"We stayed at the cabin for a week with 2 families. The ski run is literally right next to the property. The Club staff is amazing. The Cabin is very comfortable. The only issues we had were lack of window treatments in 2 of the bedrooms.. no blinds or curtains. We were told that this a being addressed by the owners. If you are taking a day off from skiing, there is a lot to do. We worked out and used the club facilities and then another day went dog sledding at Moonlight Basin. I would highly recommend this particular cabin."

  • Snuggly & Beautiful

"We stayed two nights (January); it was so wonderful. It is a small, picturesque cabin. The perfect place to catch up on a book, eat some bison chili and unwind. There's some wildlife meandering now & again - a bonus! You are really off the beaten path and it's so pretty. The bed we slept in (of the two bedrooms) was very comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils and such. It's 10-15min from the Big Sky resort/hotels - so you *are* out in the woods and yet still close to other activities as well. The owner(s) emailed the day before our arrival and asked if she could make any recommendations for activities, restaurants etc. - she was so kind & helpful throughout the entire process. We'd love to go back in warmer weather to experience the pond etc. as well! Get some groceries on your way in to Big Sky (grocery stores *in* Big Sky are pricier, get some wine, make some hot cocoa...and snuggle up. AND...f you ever thought of writing - this is a writer's heaven...so write that essay or book ...or blog away! Small, intimate, snuggly and WONDERFUL"

  • A Sweet and Memorable Family Vacation!

"This lovely mountain home is a wonderful vacation spot and we will return soon. We have previously rented other properties on the mountain and this is by far our favorite. We had several nights just the two of us and had family members (ranging in age from 6 to 60) come and go throughout the week. Everyone was thrilled with the accommodations (en-suite bathrooms make a big difference) The kitchen is very well appointed with high quality pans, baking/serving pieces, dishes, cooking utensils, wine glasses ,etc. For us, this particular feature was important as we enjoyed cooking in most nights. We were toasty warm, despite freezing temperatures outside there were no drafts and the interior temperature remained steady. While we visit Big Sky often in the summer this was our first winter/ski experience. What can we say other than AMAZING! Having a true ski on/ski off property made our introduction to skiing here particularly special. An easy jump onto the scenic trail (out the back door) and you are at the lift in 5 minutes. From Madison you have easy access to the entire resort. Skiing back home was just as straight forward. We enjoyed the Apple TV, wireless, fireplaces, multiple humidifiers, warm décor, candles, comfortable 'mud' room for getting ready, large garage and everything else. Oh, I almost forgot the views. The stargazing from the hot tub is indescribable. If you haven't seen the Spanish Peaks you will see them directly from the couch - spectacular. Can't wait to go back."

  • Great House for Ski out....Ski in is another matter all together.

"My group of 17 adults skiers really enjoyed was the House had to offer in handling such a large group. Each room was well furnished and the accommodations were comfortable. Hats off to the management company for making our stay very easy and comfortable. Btw, having 5-adults stay in the bunk room on the lower floor is a bit challenging....as they had to spread out into the lower living room space to accommodate all their gear. Otherwise, the house fit our needs pretty well, except I'd recommend the owner invest in a much better set of cutlery for the kitchen and a more robust wifi system. The preparation knives were very basic and our group has some top notch chefs. The wifi system can't handle more than 10 to 15 devices logged into the router. Since AT&T is really the only cell carrier in the mountain region, most folks on Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile had to access their smart phones via the wifi network. Hence, with a house full of 17 professional workers, we maxed out and exceeded the wifi capabilities on a daily basis. A couple of tips for future folks to consider. (1) The house is easy to get too, but the drive-way is on a down-hill slope....meaning the main road is above the house. Hence, during the winter, 4-wheel drive vehicles are a must. Also, be cautious around the house during warm days as ice builds up on in front of the main entrance. (2) There is a good grocery store (Roxi) in the main town before you get to the mountain area. It's very well stocked with reasonable prices. Btw, most of the mountain restaurants have reasonable priced food....given it's a main tourist area. (3) If you're out hiking on warmer days, as it was back during our stay (Feb 28th to March 7th), make sure to get a pair of yak-tracks for your boots. With warm days, there was a lot of ice on the trails. Hence the need for yak-tracks which strap onto your boots. We had one gal injured in a fall on the ice trail...and spent some time with the local docs, which are great and reasonably priced services. (4) Bozeman airport is about an hour and 15 minute drive from the house....with clear roads and no snow. Easy to get from and to. (5) The Mountain is huge....and even with a light snow base of 40 inches at the bottom, there was some great skiing to be found. (6) I recommend Lone Mountain Sports for your ski rental needs. If you have a large group like I did, talk with Jeff to get a good discount for your group."
