  • A great family get together!

"Our week at what was aptly described as the "LODGE" was a wonderful experience for the twelve of us. Our family is scattered over much of the western U.S., and Big Sky along with these accommodations provided everything we needed to enjoy being together and excellent skiing. In no time at all everyone felt at home here. The sleeping arrangement was perfect for 12 and could have nicely accommodated four more. We could all sit down together at the dining room table for dinner, and the living area by the fireplace provided a great place for conversation and evening games. The view from the great room is breathtaking of Lone Mountain and the ski slopes. Being just about a half mile from the ski basin and a hundred yards or so from the shuttle pickup to take you there was a real plus. Everyone skied and could put on their ski boot etc. in the warmth of the house and head for the slopes whenever they so desired. The pool table was in use much of the time as was the hot tub especially after a day of skiing. For those days not skiing the library of movies and books plus two large screen TV's provided plenty of diversion. Nintendo games too! The kitchen area is somewhat small when cooking for 12, but it is very well equipped providing everything we ever needed. The antiques and furnishings throughout the house (interesting and copious art too) added nicely to the ambiance. This is obviously a main residence of the owners, and one wonders how they trust renters to fully respect all that is there. I would be hesitant with anything but well behaved children (our youngest was 16), but it was perfect for us. Frankly, I was a bit hesitant about this rental at first because of there not being any comments on line from previous occupants. However, my correspondence with the owner was cordial and business like, and it didn't take long after we arrived to relieve any doubts that I had. I am quite sure anyone considering this rental will be well pleased with the experience. I (we) would return at any opportunity. This was our second trip to Big Sky, and both times were excellent. However, the location made this trip especially good."

  • Love Cliffhanger

"Great location, spacious and comfortable for multiple families. We we're 12 total and the home provided plenty of space for all. Great views and easy access (ski in/out) to Big Sky, truly a world class ski resort. The "mud" room provided easy storage for equipment after a day of skiing. Would be five star but appliances/electronics are a bit dated and internet slow. We definitely would return!"

  • Wonderful Family Experience!!

"What a beautiful place!! We couldn't have asked for a better 'fit' for our vacation needs... this cabin truly has it all: beautiful kitchen, 2 fireplaces, 2-story deck, sauna, hot tub, pool table, dart board, board games, and a GREAT mountain view!! It is a very short drive (probably 2 min.) to Big Sky Resort. The kitchen is even stocked with some necessities! The kitchen/dining/living room were all open - which is perfect for a large group gathering & meal sharing. We wanted to take our little guys sledding... which there is not a real spot for at the resort... BUT all we had to do was walk out our front door. The cabin is built into the side of a hill/mountain, so we were able to sled right at the cabin. There is also a groomed trail a little ways down the road, that apparently takes you to the mountain for skiing. We had 9 people staying - could easily have accommodated 4-5 more people. There is a loft upstairs with a queen size bed & futon (not a lot of privacy). On the main level there is a master bedroom (w/ king size bed) & it's own bathroom. There is also a 2nd bedroom with a queen size bed & a main bath. Downstairs, there is a bedroom with a queen size bed & a 2nd bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds & there is a separate bathroom (with sauna). WONDERFUL experience - would definitely do it again!!"

  • Can't ask for much more

"The place is great, and the nightly views from the two decks (on covered, one outside) of the evening fireworks over the lake were incredible. A quick shuttle to the base was very convenient. The fireplace worked out well, as did the humidifiers. The covered garage and dollies to lug all the firewood and ski gear were an added bonus. I run an annual ski trip and I plan on keeping Ken/Deb's place as the go-to condo for Big Sky."
