"If we could have stayed forever we would! My 11 year old called it homely on the first day and that is a very apt description .....massively comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, games for the children, the creek, tub and sauna! The deck is amazing and the view stunning. Everyone relaxes and life is good. The cabin is secluded but just a mile from the entrance to Yellowstone in the sleepy but friendly village of Silver Gate. 1 minutes walk from a pleasant restaurant and a couple of shops where you can rent a scope to watch the animals (which are close to the North East entrance) and pick up ice cream, souvenirs and bear spray! Book this property!!!! This is the best property we have ever stayed in for the past 20 years!"

"We had our two adults sons (shared the second bedroom) and me and my husband. We enjoyed privacy, a great deck and full campfire area with lots of wood provided. The cabin is well supplied and clean.
We were celebrating a family reunion and hosted two campfire evenings at our cabin. Everyone was envious. Lots of privacy and weather permitting, our cabin allowed all of us to spread out and enjoy ourselves.
We didn't fish but wish we would have. The cabin is right on the edge of Soda Butte Creek just like the ad states.
Be sure to rent ATVs from the Bear Claw Bakery in Cooke City and drive all the off road trails including the Bannock Trail (just behind our cabin) and Daisy Pass trail will lead you to high mountain lakes.
Lots of "smoring" going on at the campfire and we cooked over the fire every night.
Don't forget the bug spray.
We are already planning our next vacation at this cabin."

"Gray Wolf is amazing! We have stayed in other places around Yellowstone, but this is the best. We stayed there 3 years ago, and the cabin has been well kept and is just as nice as it was then. The owner was very helpful with area stores, restaurants and places to see wildlife, and we did see a lot of wildlife everyday. So to say we would recommend the cabin is an understatement, our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!!"

"We got really lucky finding this hidden gem for a week in late September to early October. Great trout fishing in front of the cabin even with the water so low and also at the lake down the road. The trip into Yellowstone was only about 20-25 minutes and NO long scary passes to go over. This time of the year the foliage was spectacular and the cool crisp air refreshing. So if your looking for a place to unwind and forget about all of your troubles this is the place. Not having cell phone service, a TV or internet was really refreshing and NOT missed a bit. Conversation was our entertainment without commercials.
Mallie and Zig are great hosts and we will definitely come back. Thanks for the stay:)"
