"Quiet and cosy is how I would describe the cabin and Silver Gate. We stayed there for 4 nights having returned after a previous stay in 2011. We wanted to see Yellowstone and Beartooth Mountain in different seasons. The cabin has everything we wanted after a full day exploring the park - a full gas stove, fridge, comfortable bed, wi-fi, good lighting for reading, thermostatically controlled heating, hot water and good water pressure in the shower and a barbecue and deck to boot! I barbecued every night on the deck which was very convenient and adds to the overall enjoyment of the day given the setting in the woods. The cabin is very conveniently located close to the north east entrance which is the gateway to the Lamar Valley. I am happy that a few people decided some time ago to put aside this wonderful area so that many can enjoy it today - including humans! We have stayed at many VRBO places and Karen is a gem! She gives confidence when booking and is a warm and compassionate person. We know this from our stay in 2011 when my wife became ill and Karen did everything she could to help. So - with all things considered (no pun intended on NPR show) we highly recommend the Lamar Valley cabins."

"Wonderful comfortable, spacious cabin, great log fires, beautiful setting in quiet quaint Silvergate and prefect for daily expeditions into Lamar valley & Yellowstone in general. Nothing was too much trouble for our host John and in particular calling our attention to harlequin ducks on the creek and a pine marten in the tree. Then there were the local bison and moose wandering the streets and great BBQ in Cooke City 3 miles up the street. We'll be back one day for sure!"

"My husband and I recently stayed at Two Rib Cabin for 4 nights. It was one of the best places we stayed during our 3 weeks in Wyoming/Montana. The cabin is just perfect, well designed, warm, cozy, super clean and well appointed. Very close to the park and easy access to the Bear Tooth Hwy. Views were amazing, had deer come right up to us when we first arrived. Enjoyed exploring Cooke City and had the BEST pizza ever at the Miner's Saloon. The best place to stay in Cooke City."

"Arrived to an inviting fire lit. Which was appreciated, since it had been raining sleeting or snowing since we had left home 5 days earlier.
Home was a mixture of Uncle Buck's hunting cabin and Aunt Mimi's decorating. Kitchen has all pots, pans and dishes you could possible need. Microwave is in a pantry right off kitchen.
We loved the furnishings, but be aware the taxidermy may be too much for some people, it is exactly as pictured.
Wished it had been warm enough to use the sunroom and deck. They were both so inviting.
But I must admit my favorite part of the cabin, was the soaking tub with handicap bars. I have arthritis in both hips and one hand, so to be able to come back after a long day photographing and soak in a hot bath with wonderful.
Be sure to ride the little photo book with the history of Cooke City, quite interesting."
