  • Don't panic. All about our XC Skiing Anniversary Trip

"Very last minute (the 23rd) my wife said she had off for our Anniversary (the 29th) and made it very clear she wanted to get away. I panicked. After a bit of searching around, I selected this cabin as what I thought she would like (hint: she did) and a few others that might have worked. I emailed Stacy and started emailing a few other places, but before I could hit send, she had already replied to me. It was my first time using VRBO and I didn't know how it worked, so I replied every way I knew how to make sure we were good to go. My 3 or 4 messages didn't seem to faze Stacy at all. The moment we walked in, Grace was jumping with excitement and saying how perfect of a place the cabin was. And it was, it was exactly what she wanted. Although we found it comfortable and beautiful, it's not a glamorous 3 bedroom home with a 500 sq ft bathroom - it's a small cabin perfect two people who don't need a hotel staff waiting on them to enjoy themselves. There's no wifi (aren't you visiting Yellowstone to be outdoors anyways?) and it's not a chef's ideal cabin, but it couldn't have been any better for us. The cabin is a few miles off highway, but we really liked that it was away from tourists and private. It is very well taken care of. There are a few displays of books that you cannot open, but there are a few historical books around the cabin as well; they've found a very tasteful way of preserving history while still making it available and livable as well. Grace and I drove the open roads in Yellowstone Friday, saw Cook City and skied Lower Baronet. We really enjoyed skiing to Tower Falls and Blacktail Plateau Saturday. We thought maybe the elevation was bugging us because we were really struggling, but it ended up that we both had the flu that night. Nevertheless, we had a great time and left feeling we had found the best place in the area to stay in the future! We've already recommended the cabin to some friends who visit the area every March. We loved the cabin and how tastefully done and comfortable everything was. It was private, cozy, and romantic - exactly what my wife was hoping for. Being greeted by elk just before sunrise was a nice bonus too! Sandy was incredibly quick to respond and made sure we were taken care of - extremely reliable. If you're visiting the area, this should be the first place you consider staying!"

  • Large variety of wildlife viewed from deck - clean and accommodating home in Paradise Valley

"Magdalena and Bruce, Our stay at your home was very enjoyable! We saw a large variety of wildlife. We loved using our spotting scope early in the mornings off of the back deck to see the elk and deer make their way to the river – while we had our morning coffee. We played Monopoly two nights in a row with the kids and had a toasty fire going. There was an awesome trail ride by horses we did at Chico Hot Springs to see the beautiful countryside! I am impressed with how organized, clean and accommodating the house is. Thank you so much for the experience. We hope to come back for another stay in your lovely home – piece of paradise. Many thanks ~"

  • SC visitor

"We stayed for 3 nights in mid August and had a great time. Unit was very clean and extremely we'll stocked. Even had insect repellent and bear spray, though we already had some. What a great location for exploring yellowstone. Had elk every morning or evening right out the back door. Gardiner was a neat little town and the unit was great. I would definitely stay again"

  • Perfect Vacation House for Yellowstone

"This was a perfect vacation for our group of 6 and all of us felt so. The location is great and right on the banks of the yellowstone river and the deck outside has great mountain views. The north entrance of the park is about 10 miles south and a very comfortable drive. The house is spacious with all basic amenities required for a vacation and the kitchen is well stocked. The first night itself, we saw a elk outside the house. Several cats and kittens came on the deck. Most importantly, the house kept us warm when the temperature outside dipped considerably the last night we stayed there. Also, the owner DruAnn was very flexible and accommodating. Would come back again. Highly Recommended."
