  • ANTICIPATION EXCEEDED

"I WAS REALLY NERVOUS ABOUT MY CHOICE AFTER BAD EXPERIENCE IN COOKE CITY LAST YEAR. WE LOVED IT SO MUCH THAT WE CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK. THE HOUSE HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED, THE LOCATION IS EXCELLENT, THE KIDS LET ME KNOW RIGHT AWAY THAT I DONE WELL ON OUR RENTAL THIS TIME AND THEY WERE VERY PLEASED. WE LOVED BEING ON THE WATER. OUR LAST DAY THEIR WE WERE OUT BACK COOKING AND THE KIDS WERE PLAYING WIFFLE BALL IN THE LARGE BACK YARD AND 2 DEER CAME RIGHT UP OUT OF THE RIVER AND GRAZED THROUGH THE YARD. WE GOT TO SEE THEM SWIM BACK ACROSS THE RIVER. THIS WAS EXCITING."

  • Perfect

"This is our last night at Wade's little piece of mountain paradise. We have stayed at several Homeaway vacation rental properties and Wade's cabin is probably the best appointed of any. The furniture, kitchen appliances, and cabin itself are top notch. He has provided just about every thing you need to cook a meal short of the groceries. Laundry facilities are convenient - he even provides the laundry detergent and the quarters for the commercial machines. This is our third time at Yellowstone, but first time in the fall. Our first day we were greeted with 6" of snow - absolutely beautiful. For Texans, the snow was a special treat. My brother and his wife are traveling with us this being their first time to Yellowstone. The cabin has been perfect - both couples having their own bedroom and bath. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a family or two couples. The Wares from Texas"

  • A place to relax and unwind!

"Yellowstone National park was on my husband's bucket list, it was so nice to come back to the cabin after a day hiking in the park. Private, peaceful, and very homey, the sound of the river lulls you to sleep at night. The cabin was just as described and the owners answered are emails promptly. We never had a chance to meet Chris but Warren and was very friendly and helpful. Gardiner has many good restaurants and we tried several of them, each with good service and good food. My favorite part of our vacation was sitting on the porch swing listening to the river sometimes with Tillie at my feet."

  • Don't panic. All about our XC Skiing Anniversary Trip

"Very last minute (the 23rd) my wife said she had off for our Anniversary (the 29th) and made it very clear she wanted to get away. I panicked. After a bit of searching around, I selected this cabin as what I thought she would like (hint: she did) and a few others that might have worked. I emailed Stacy and started emailing a few other places, but before I could hit send, she had already replied to me. It was my first time using VRBO and I didn't know how it worked, so I replied every way I knew how to make sure we were good to go. My 3 or 4 messages didn't seem to faze Stacy at all. The moment we walked in, Grace was jumping with excitement and saying how perfect of a place the cabin was. And it was, it was exactly what she wanted. Although we found it comfortable and beautiful, it's not a glamorous 3 bedroom home with a 500 sq ft bathroom - it's a small cabin perfect two people who don't need a hotel staff waiting on them to enjoy themselves. There's no wifi (aren't you visiting Yellowstone to be outdoors anyways?) and it's not a chef's ideal cabin, but it couldn't have been any better for us. The cabin is a few miles off highway, but we really liked that it was away from tourists and private. It is very well taken care of. There are a few displays of books that you cannot open, but there are a few historical books around the cabin as well; they've found a very tasteful way of preserving history while still making it available and livable as well. Grace and I drove the open roads in Yellowstone Friday, saw Cook City and skied Lower Baronet. We really enjoyed skiing to Tower Falls and Blacktail Plateau Saturday. We thought maybe the elevation was bugging us because we were really struggling, but it ended up that we both had the flu that night. Nevertheless, we had a great time and left feeling we had found the best place in the area to stay in the future! We've already recommended the cabin to some friends who visit the area every March. We loved the cabin and how tastefully done and comfortable everything was. It was private, cozy, and romantic - exactly what my wife was hoping for. Being greeted by elk just before sunrise was a nice bonus too! Sandy was incredibly quick to respond and made sure we were taken care of - extremely reliable. If you're visiting the area, this should be the first place you consider staying!"
