  • Words Fail, But I'll Try

"You're maybe 5 or 10 miles from Yellowstone as the crow (or bald eagle we saw this morning) flies, but you're completely by yourself at 8,000 feet. I've traveled to all 50 states and 25 countries, and this is the best cabin ever. Beautifully constructed, completely furnished, spotlessly clean, with all the modern conveniences including satellite TV and high speed Internet. And the scenery will stop your heart. It's truly beyond description. Besides the eagle, I saw a wolf this morning, a bear a couple days ago, a buck and three does yesterday. The only qualification to this review would be to say that you don't want to attempt the steep road without a 4WD vehicle. It's a fairly bone-jarring ride, but totally worth it."

  • Pros and cons

"So there are lots of good things about this townhome but also some negative things too that can easily be remedied. The location is great and we always enjoy walking and biking around the golf course when we visit Red Lodge. It has new tile and new carpet and what seems to be fairly new furniture. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. The beds are comfortable and the bath towels are super thick. The kitchen is fairly well stocked but could use a blender, tongs and simple grill utensils for the charcoal grill. We couldn't find grill utensils but had a charcoal grill available to use. We are a family that eats in most of the time. It was also nice to have the patio to relax on and store our bikes. We also enjoyed the hot tub. On to the negative but easily remedied - while the kitchen was swept clean, the floor was actually dirty and our socks were filthy from it. There are food crumbs and other stuff under the couch cushions of one couch. Didn't have the heart to look under the other couch. The couch was not on legs and sat very low and you sunk way into the couch which made it hard to get out of and we didn't think it was all that comfortable. That is just our personal opinion though and others may like it. There is no step to get into the hot tub and the cover and outside shell of the hot tub are in desperate need of repair. We were afraid the cover would fall apart on us. The inside of the hot tub is in great shape and it was clean. We had trouble getting the patio door locked and had to rely on the board that was by the door to use as a jam. All in all, it was an ok stay. While I understand the principle of not having extremely nice things in a rental, one also wants to have it nice enough to want to return. John was great to work with and always responded to our emails so that was a plus. I appreciate the fact that so many people are willing to rent homes to others so we don't have to get hotels."

  • Wonderful Family Ski Vacation

"We were so pleased with our trip to Big Sky and stay at 3 Sisters Ranch. We came to the home with extended family - kids ranging from 5 to 8 years old, grandparents in 60s and adults. The house was warm, accommodating, and beautiful. The kitchen was perfect for big family dinners and quick breakfasts on the way out the door. The hot tub was also a huge hit after a day of skiing. The setting was serene. David was wonderful with getting us the information we needed and making our stay so easy (he was right we needed 4WD cars). The skiing was also amazing - so convenient to the home, but yet you feel you are away from the world. We spent a day cross country skiing at Lone Mountain Ranch and even snowshoed the Upper Beehive Basin trail, just down the hill from the home. We are so happy to have found this treasure and will definitely be returning."

  • Perfect Montana getaway

"We stayed for almost three weeks June/July of 2014 and found the property to be as described and perfectly located for Yellowstone Park activities, Yellowstone River activities and not too far away from Livinston and Bozeman. The nearby general store was very convenient and the drive down Paradise Valley never gets tiring. Drew provides anything and everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable and we plan to be back. Make sure you visit the Lighthouse Restaurant down the road toward Gardiner. Perfect location if you want to get some early morning or late day fishing in on river before or after other activities."
