  • Fantastic Unit with Great Location.

"We had a fantastic week at Whitefish. The unit was great. We loved the hot tub, the BBQ and the accommodations were perfect once again. Thanks for the welcome basket with the wine. It was much appreciated and a very nice touch. Also, thank you for picking up the lift tickets from Costco. It sure helps with the ticket price especially when we are getting $0.80 on the dollar. We were lucky with the weather and the conditions everything considered. The first couple of days we could get off the groomed runs and ski some of the terrain under the chairs with the remainder of the week being on the groomed runs. The groomers did a great job especially on runs like chute and powder trap which seemed good. The conditions skied better than one would think considering there hadn’t been much new snow in the weeks before we arrived. Talking to people throughout the week it seemed like Whitefish had some of the best skiing in the West. Every day was beautiful, sunny and cold. There were a couple of days where you couldn’t see a cloud. Some of us actually managed to get in 6 days of skiing and I made a point to be at the bottom of the chair at 4:00 to get that last run in. We also made an effort to make use of the Hell Roaring Bar after the last run for a review of the day over a cold beer. The Ski out for lunch during the day and the ski out at the end of the day sure works well as does the Ski in to start the day. Thanks again. We all loved the place and the mountain. This was our 35th ski trip as a group of friends with the first being in 1981 and they seem to get better each year. Its seems crazy to think that we all live just over an hours drive to Whistler - Blackcomb but we choose to drive the 11 hours to come here. The mountain and the condo are more than worth it. We will likely be back again next year and would love to come back to your condo. Thanks."

"Awesome vacation! Went skiing for three days and it was wonderful to come back to such a homey place. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay! Everyday there was wildlife near the cabin and the price was unbeatable!"

  • Don't panic. All about our XC Skiing Anniversary Trip

"Very last minute (the 23rd) my wife said she had off for our Anniversary (the 29th) and made it very clear she wanted to get away. I panicked. After a bit of searching around, I selected this cabin as what I thought she would like (hint: she did) and a few others that might have worked. I emailed Stacy and started emailing a few other places, but before I could hit send, she had already replied to me. It was my first time using VRBO and I didn't know how it worked, so I replied every way I knew how to make sure we were good to go. My 3 or 4 messages didn't seem to faze Stacy at all. The moment we walked in, Grace was jumping with excitement and saying how perfect of a place the cabin was. And it was, it was exactly what she wanted. Although we found it comfortable and beautiful, it's not a glamorous 3 bedroom home with a 500 sq ft bathroom - it's a small cabin perfect two people who don't need a hotel staff waiting on them to enjoy themselves. There's no wifi (aren't you visiting Yellowstone to be outdoors anyways?) and it's not a chef's ideal cabin, but it couldn't have been any better for us. The cabin is a few miles off highway, but we really liked that it was away from tourists and private. It is very well taken care of. There are a few displays of books that you cannot open, but there are a few historical books around the cabin as well; they've found a very tasteful way of preserving history while still making it available and livable as well. Grace and I drove the open roads in Yellowstone Friday, saw Cook City and skied Lower Baronet. We really enjoyed skiing to Tower Falls and Blacktail Plateau Saturday. We thought maybe the elevation was bugging us because we were really struggling, but it ended up that we both had the flu that night. Nevertheless, we had a great time and left feeling we had found the best place in the area to stay in the future! We've already recommended the cabin to some friends who visit the area every March. We loved the cabin and how tastefully done and comfortable everything was. It was private, cozy, and romantic - exactly what my wife was hoping for. Being greeted by elk just before sunrise was a nice bonus too! Sandy was incredibly quick to respond and made sure we were taken care of - extremely reliable. If you're visiting the area, this should be the first place you consider staying!"

  • A well kept secret on Flathead Lake - A perfect stay

"I'll start my review by stating what a true and tremendous professional the property manager, Kim, is and her timeliness and the effort that she expended to meet our needs. None better. The property is a spectacular and pleasant house and location on the best lake in the country. The owners and Kim have ensured that the home is in top condition. It is clean, comfortable, and provides the most beautiful view, a solid dock/pier, and a place directly at the edge of the lake. We will be back to visit over and over again, and once we move into the area, we'll probably still rent here to have our place on the lake for the week/weekend. Thanks again Kim. You made it great for us."
