  • Beautiful Home with Beautiful View of Glacier NP

"We have stayed in VRBOs from the Florida Keys to the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington but this is an amazing property to consider for your vacation. The home is decorated with eclectic and rustic touches yet perfectly blended with modern amenities. The house exceeds expectations and the pictures really don’t do it justice. The house is as described with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, great room with satellite TV, dining room, wraparound deck, laundry facilities and a finished basement with another TV family room. It was also very clean. We didn’t plan on eating so many dinners at home but the home was so enjoyable with the wraparound deck surrounding almost the entire house, we couldn’t resist staying in and grilling on the BBQ so we could enjoy the view and the house. We spent the week exploring Glacier National Park. During our visit in early September we noticed the weather at West Glacier was about 10-20 degrees warmer than East Glacier; which is also windier. East Glacier had gotten several inches of snow and Montana had actually shut key roads needed to explore the other sections of the Park—which we highly recommend as they are less populated and just as beautiful. The house does not have Wi-Fi but does have good cell coverage; at least for Verizon subscribers, so we were able to check road conditions before heading out. There is a train track about a half mile from the home with trains going by several times a day and in the night. We found the train to be fun; fitting in with the eclecticness of the house yet it could be a frustration to light sleepers. The homeowners (Marcey and Rich) live on the property and this is their house when it isn’t rented. We had pleasurable conversations with them, enjoyed their company greatly and enjoyed seeing their daughters, 3 dogs and horses, but you do have this slightly peculiar feeling that you displaced a family. Even in the early morning the family dogs will stop by and peer in the window with a bewildered look as if to say, “What are you doing in our house?”. This is a fantastic property and we loved our stay! It is close to a couple small towns (Hungry Horse, West Glacier & Coram) with restaurants and a small grocery store. It’s just a couple miles to the west entrance of Glacier National Park and about 20 minutes to Columbia Falls (a good size town with more services, restaurants and larger grocery store). We highly recommend this property and will stay here again when in the Glacier area."

  • Great Ski Weekend

"Great base for our ski training weekend. The kitchen was one of the best equipped rentals that I've ever been in, with lots of pots, pans, cupboard space, dishes . . . you name it. It was very easy to prepare meals for the hungry masses. The only downside to the kitchen was an extremely slow coffee pot - it irritated the caffeine addicts. :-) There was also lots of room to spread out, which made it easy for the race team to do their homework throughout the weekend. All in all, a very comfortable weekend. The only downside was that the hot tub was not working for our stay. That was a little disappointing."

  • Sister Patty

"Truly deluxe accommodations! The decor, furnishings, and comfort were exceptional. Easy access and a garage completely exceeded every expectation. The incredible view of the mountain made my morning coffee on the deck the loveliest way to start each day of our fabulous vacation! Whitefish offers great shopping and dining options, the lake is beautiful and we had a blast jet skiing! Activities right on the mountain were highlights - zip lining, chair lift to summit hikes, alpine slide, and huckleberry picking! All of this combined with the proximity to Glacier National Park make this an ideal vacation spot!"

  • Great base for summer adventure

"We are a family in the 40s with a 13 and 10 year old. Three bedrooms are perfect for the family. I think the condo is a little nicer than the pictures reflect. There is a TV upstairs and in one lower level bedroom. The wifi is great. The condo is in an area with a community pool and hot tub, but the condo has a hot tub on the lower level. The condo is clean, has fireplace, washer/dryer/dishwasher, coffee/espresso machine and backs up to some woods for a nice deck view. It is located about a 10 minute drive from the big sky village but about a mile from several restaurants and services. I would recommend a car. It is about an hour from Bozeman airport. Do get groceries in Bozeman. We drove to the West entrance of Yellowstone (a little over an hour), North entrance(about 2 hours),and spent a couple of days hiking and exploring. We did Whitewater rafting with Montana whitewater (25 minute drive) and horseback riding (15 minute drive). The owner was helpful and easy to work with. Enjoy."
