  • The BEST "home" while visiting Yellowstone!

"We stayed at Two Feathers for four nights and it was absolutely perfect! It truly is a home! Rose and Bill are exceptional hosts and they've thought of everything to make Two Feathers on outstanding cabin. Everything was spotlessly clean, well organized and very spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfy. The grill was great for us to cook-in one night. They even had binoculars and a cooler for us to use on our trips into Yellowstone. It was a very convenient location for seeing Yellowstone, as well as the town. They had lots of information on the area, which was very helpful. We enjoyed seeing their unique woodwork, which was evident throughout the cabin. We even bought a few things from their display shop. They were easy to work with and prompt from the first contact to the end of our visit. We enjoyed the IMAX Theater and especially the town of West Yellowstone. The shopping, restaurants, homemade ice cream and all of the very friendly people made the visit extra special. I don't think you'll find a better place to stay in West Yellowstone than Two Feathers."

  • Amazing Winter Vacation

"What a beautiful place to stay! The house was beautiful and provided amazing access to the endless cross country ski trails. We took the kids skiing at Big Sky for two days, and had great snow conditions both days (awesome powder!) The kitchen was very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking there most days, but also had a great dinner at the nearby Thai restaurant. Thanks for providing us with such a great family vacation, we can't wait to return next year."

  • Wonderful Family Ski Vacation

"We were so pleased with our trip to Big Sky and stay at 3 Sisters Ranch. We came to the home with extended family - kids ranging from 5 to 8 years old, grandparents in 60s and adults. The house was warm, accommodating, and beautiful. The kitchen was perfect for big family dinners and quick breakfasts on the way out the door. The hot tub was also a huge hit after a day of skiing. The setting was serene. David was wonderful with getting us the information we needed and making our stay so easy (he was right we needed 4WD cars). The skiing was also amazing - so convenient to the home, but yet you feel you are away from the world. We spent a day cross country skiing at Lone Mountain Ranch and even snowshoed the Upper Beehive Basin trail, just down the hill from the home. We are so happy to have found this treasure and will definitely be returning."

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
