  • Wonderful Stay

"Just returned from a stay here. Clean, smelled good, super stocked house, layed out perfectly, on the Yellowstone River, roomy, great water pressure, lot's of hot water, beds were comfy, I could just go on and on. I don't know a bad thing about this place. Dru, the owner, is a hard working woman who does a great job with her business. I would recommend this place to anyone. If you stay here and don't like it, go to New York City and stay on the pavement as this place is absolutely lovely. Gardiner has many fine businesses to visit, eateries, fly shops, nice grocery store that has everything a person could want. Again, I could just go on and on. I have no business ties to this place at all. My review is 100% honest. Jerry Andrews, West Virginia."

  • Just perfect!

"Beautiful home with a fantastic view. Remote, private and getting there is an adventure. Great location since everything is a drive from everything else. This was in a good in-between locale. So glad we found it and looking forward to going back one day."

  • Perfect accommodations for a group

"It's not easy to find accommodations for 12 people, so this cabin is ideal for a group trip to Yellowstone. We used the well-appointed kitchen extensively and the propane grills on the back deck once. Everything was in working order. The property manager is very accommodating and the house was very clean. The water pressure may drop with 12 people, but we never ran out of hot water. We loved socializing in the back yard after a day of hiking Yellowstone."

  • Perfection!

"We rented the Red Meadow cabin which is 5 mi north from Polebridge, MT. It is remote but well worth the drive!! The view from the front porch of this cabin is incredible with a rushing river and mountains that tower above. The morning sunrise... breathtaking!! The cabin is very well appointed with everything we needed (with the exception of a wine opener). Cabin was very clean and even had fresh ice made in the freezer- a nice touch since when we arrived it was 92 degrees. No detail was left out in this cabin... from extra blankets, a fishing rod in the corner and even a slingshot for the kids to have some fun with. We spent many evenings at the river cooling off or having rock skipping contests. The Polebridge Mercantile had the best Huckleberry Macaroons and Home Ranch Bottoms had fantastic smoked pulled pork sandwich. We hope to be back one day... thank you for sharing this slice of heaven with us!"

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
