  • This place is great if you want to shred the gnar.

"This is the second year we are stayed at this property. It continues to be amazing. My family and friends had an incredible time. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt like we were home. All the bedrooms were perfect; spacious and everything was where it belonged. The bedroom on the main floor is a dream, with a huge bathroom and deep tub with jets. But does one need them with the Jacuzzi on the deck. We had six in the Jacuzzi and were comfortable. At times we had seven people, and that wasn’t too bad either. There’s also a grill outside on the deck with plenty of fuel. There is a garage full of wood with everything you need to get the fire started. The kitchen was very nice, with everything you may need. The refrigerator for the wine was perfect. It kept all the white wine and beer cold while leaving a lot of room in the regular refrigerator. The loft got a face lift when they added a new king-size sofa sleeper, and it comfortable. Normally the frame pokes you through the thin mattress, but not this one. It was very comfortable. The people who manage the property are very nice, and went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed. They meet you are the home when you arrive and explain everything you need to know. If there are any questions during the week, they are easy to contact and very responsive. There was the appropriate amount of communication to keep us completely informed and they shared many details of the area, including where to shop for food, rent equipment, eat and drink. But we dined-in most evenings, cooking some great meals in the kitchen. The value or being able to ski in and out cannot be overly stressed. We saved so much time in the mornings and almost always caught the last lift up so we could enjoy the end of the day high in the mountains and be at our back door whenever we wanted. We enjoyed the Riverhouse Grill. It is completely local and they raffle off a real sweet rifle once a month. All the extra money goes to various local charities."

  • What a Place!

"Soooooooo........we stayed here in May to attend the U of M graduation and absolutely fell in love with the home. We loved it so much we booked the entire months of August a d September! The pictures just can't truly relay how absolutely picturesque the site is. The view is unbelievable and watching the sunrise from the master bedroom deck was one of our favorite pastimes. With three other deck on various sides of the home there was always the right solar exposure regardless of the time of day or night! Deer, bear, turkey, chipmunks, hawks, and especially the bald eagle that would sometimes perch on the lower section of the driveway scanning the Clark Fork River were regulars sights! Totally amazing. Not only was the house in great shape but it had absolutely everything! The kitchen was completely stocked with anything you could possibly want for cooking and baking........from muffin tins to a crock pot, and when we joked to the owners that the only thing we didn't have was a garlic press there was one there the next day!! Our grand kids also loved the log bunk beds and hand-painted mural in the downstairs bedroom. John and Brigitta were also excellent hosts and great ambassadors for Missoula. They made sure we had everything we needed, helped us find great hidden hiking and fishing spots, the best restaurants, and gave us so much insider information that made our summer in Missoula far more than we ever dreamed. I can't recommend this home and owners enough........and I can't wait until we can get back again. Thanks so much!"

  • Montana Beauty

"Our stay in Montana was amazing. We loved being close to Yellowstone. It was wonderful to drive though Yellowstone and see all the animals and Old Faithful. We also visited the Museum of the Rockies which is about an hour away and walked around Bozeman. Rodney and Diane were wonderful. Their property is beautiful. Our dogs loved being able to walk around the property."

  • Spectacular View East and West

"After careful consideration and review, I decided to rent this VRBO in Charlo, MT for 3-nights, to celebrate my 50th Birthday with my wife and two boys, ages 12 and 10. The description and photos and reviews were confirmed upon our arrival. This property has the following elements that we were looking for: 1) spectacular view from the East deck with a Table set for four -- I also came out on this balcony numerous times during our stay to take some pictures and to simply admire the view of the mountains, the willow tree, the cherry tree, and the beautiful landscape between the property and the nearby mountains -- we watched sunsets, moon rises, and stars. Loved it - absolutely loved it -- this property is perfect for this reason alone. 2) wonderful view to the West from the front entrance balcony -- again, photographed and admired sunsets toward the West through the Willows that form the property line -- running between East and West views through this rental home to observe the sunset light. 3) The property itself is clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for our 3-night stay -- we were on a 28-day road trip from NY and this was our endpoint and opportunity to relax in one location for a few days -- we could have easily stayed here a week. 4) Missoula is nearby as is Glacier NP -- we visited both. 5) We also went to the local Amish/Quaker? Cafe in Ronin -- really fresh good food -- recommended. 6) We wanted a remote location to feel the real Montana -- this place has it -- the owners in their nearby residence concealed by trees left us on our own while also offering an opportunity to explore their 40-acre property -- wish we had more time to wander the property -- maybe next time. 7) Most importantly, we needed a place to celebrate my 50th Birthday, have a home-cooked meal or two, relax in a real home, and reset before heading back East -- this VRBO met every expectation and then some. Highly Recommended. We would definitely return to rent this home again. Cheers!!"
