  • Family Vacation in celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary

"These accommodations surpassed our highest expectations!! This is a spacious and comfortable home with a well-thought-through floor plan. We had eight adults and four children six and younger in our party; and no one was ever in the others' way. The scenery is FABULOUS. The staff who assisted us in making these reservations were above and beyond helpful. The home is so well-stocked with necessities and incidentals. It's like living in your own home. All you need to bring is food and the desire to have a good time. We had a couple of nice fires in the fire place; grilled on the deck; and had crockpot meals. The number of televisions allow everyone to watch what they desire...if you have "down time" during your vacation. THANKS for your key role in making our 40th wedding anniversary such a pleasant memory."

  • Spring Break 2014

"The cabin was right where we could easily access the ski area. The cabin was perfect for our group. We had a couple of families with kids and we all had plenty of space. The wood stove is very effective and we were able to leave the windows open at night to cool it off. The owners were very accomodating and helpful. The hot tub was really nice and we liked the enclosure. We will be renting it again in the future."

  • Fabulous Weekend Adventure

"I would highly recommend this property! My husband and I were in the area for a wedding; our stay at the cabin proved to be the highlight of the trip! Although the cabin is close to Yellowstone Park, Flathead and Whitefish Lakes and lots of other outdoor attractions, when we were in the cabin or out back on the deck or in the hottub, we felt wonderfully secluded. The scenery is beautiful and we were 1/2 mile from a pristine lake where we swam and others fished and used paddle boats--no motors allowed. We lunched at the café next door and the food and beer were delicious. The cabin was clean, well-appointed and cared for and contained everything we needed for our getaway. We will definitely be back!"

  • The view is better than the pictures could ever show!!

"We boated, jet skied, paddle boarded, played games in the beautiful yard, barbecued and had an amazing time here. This is our 2nd stay at this home and will plan a 3rd. We also brought motorcycles and went through Glacier which is beautiful this time of year. The other thing we have done all 3 years is have 1 meal at Tamarack and its always very very good!!"

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
