"That was our first skiing in Montana. Condo is located few minutes from the main base. If you wish you can ski in to the steps of this place. Clean, very well organized and equipped. Living room is just what skiers need, spacious, relaxing and has a panoramic view of the mountains. You can count on Phil, very professional handling of our entire stay. We will be back."

  • The Fox Den was awesome

"We were hesitant at first not knowing what it would be like as never been there. When we got there we were amazed how clean and well kept the whole property was. We had four adults and two children ages 2 and 4. They had plenty of room to play and lots of clean cut lawn to hang out on. The house has everything You need and then some. The owners of the property are amazing. They helped with everything. They brought things over that we needed and are as kind hearted as they come. We had atv's and were able to ride next to the train tracks behind the house a couple hundred yards and can ride for miles. The owner came with maps on where to drive ATVs and willing to show us the routes himself and ride his ATV with us. The house is only a few miles from the entrance of the park. This turned out to be one of the best ideas and trips we have been on. We are already planning to go twice next year. There is plenty of fire wood stacked with a nice fire pit that has a grill specific for the fire pit. There is also a BBQ out there as well. The best thing is the fact you have this whole property to yourself and don't have to deal with other campers anywhere close to the house. Its about a half mile or so from the highway so getting to places is easy. I have recommended this place to several people and have family from California Florida Illinois and new mexico already planning on going here next year. All you need is clothes and food. Everything else is there. From pots and pans to silverware and salt and pepper. I give this place a 5 out of 5 rating. Its worth every bit to go here"

  • Perfect for a large group.

"We rented this property to get together with my husband's cousins and it couldn't have been better. We were 10 people and there was plenty of room and lots of bathrooms! Directions provided by the owner were easy to follow and the house was immaculate upon arrival. The kitchen is well stocked with glasses, plates etc you just have to bring your food and beverages. Whitefish has a lot of great restaurants but we loved the house so much we ended up dining at the house because it was so enjoyable. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable beds. We would definitely rent this property again."

  • Great place to stay!

"We had only two days for a ski vacation, and this place was perfect. So close to the mountain, shops, restaurants, and anything else we needed. The condo was nice and clean, and when we arrived to an empty hot tub, the service guys were there right away to fill it for us. Everyone was very helpful, I would recommend a visit to anyone! Thanks!"

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
