  • Unique, nice and convenient

"This property is as close as you can get to Yellowstone, just outside the North Entrance. A nice layout, well decorated and the property has great personality. As long as you are able to negotiate the spiral stairs, this property is a gem. Plus, Gardiner is a unique, fun, and slightly quirky town with interesting restaurants, a couple of great dive bars and a very nice locally owned grocery store."

  • Great place for a Glacier vacation

"The condo was very clean and well stocked, and was located in a very private spot on the course. It was beautiful and quiet, everything we were looking for on our anniversary trip. Shannon went out of her way to help us celebrate our anniversary, including arranging for flowers to be delievered upon our arrival. Thanks again for a great stay on our first trip to Glacier, no doubt we will be back :)"

  • Fly Fishing

"We had a group of nine guys in the home for three days for a fly fishing trip. The home was great, and well laid out for a group of this size. The house sleeps 12, however if everyone wants a separate bed, 8 is a better number. Great location with a lot of privacy. A few stores for last minute necessities are located within a mile of the home."

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
