  • Perfection!

"We rented the Red Meadow cabin which is 5 mi north from Polebridge, MT. It is remote but well worth the drive!! The view from the front porch of this cabin is incredible with a rushing river and mountains that tower above. The morning sunrise... breathtaking!! The cabin is very well appointed with everything we needed (with the exception of a wine opener). Cabin was very clean and even had fresh ice made in the freezer- a nice touch since when we arrived it was 92 degrees. No detail was left out in this cabin... from extra blankets, a fishing rod in the corner and even a slingshot for the kids to have some fun with. We spent many evenings at the river cooling off or having rock skipping contests. The Polebridge Mercantile had the best Huckleberry Macaroons and Home Ranch Bottoms had fantastic smoked pulled pork sandwich. We hope to be back one day... thank you for sharing this slice of heaven with us!"

  • visitors to Big Sky

"Our family of 5 stayed here for a week while attending a conference. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The condo was clean and suited our needs well. The staff a Big Sky/Summit were friendly and attentive to our needs. The Breakfast was outstanding. We drove to Yellowstone 3 days and it was a pleasure to return to the Summit. The resort had outdoor activities and my teens were never bored! We would definitely recommend this condo to a family visiting Big Sky!"

  • Spring Vacation 2014

"First of all the owners are great to deal with, helpful, and nice. The condo building is nothing special but at a very good location. Plenty of parking right in front. The condo itself is awesome. Freshly painted, comfy, warm, clean, and fully stocked with necessities. We had a great time skiing at Big Sky and stayed in almost every night to enjoy and relax. The price was right also. Perfect for families or small groups. We were 2 adults and 2 kids."

  • Family birthday celebration

"From the moment we arrived on Saturday, this was the best vacation ever! The home is absolutely beautiful, and there is not one thing we would have changed. It has everything available and is very well stocked - it feels like home. And the location of the home in Big Sky is close to everything we wanted to do. Just down the road are two grocery stores, shopping, fly-fishing, etc. And I can't say enough about the management staff. Prior to the trip, they emailed me lots of information about Big Sky, so we could make reservations, etc., and then when we arrived, they took care of everything immediately. My father who is 80 years old was a little chilly at night, so they came and turned on the heat for him, etc. If you're looking for a beautiful, quiet, and spectacular place to stay, this is the home for you! Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.

Visitors to Montana Cabins

If you love getting away to cabin rentals, Montana has your number: the state attracts those who like wide open spaces, nature and the outdoors. It is the ideal adventure playground in all seasons for those that enjoy an active vacation. In the winter months, many people are attracted to the many excellent ski resorts. It is also a great family vacation destination, especially if you want to instill in your children an appreciation for nature and the outdoors. You can choose your summertime adventure depending on your interests. Most people like to head out on the various hiking trails. Others like to explore on horseback or mountain bikes. There are also strong western traditions with rodeos and shows taking place throughout the season.

Seasons to Visit Montana

There are two favorite seasons for booking Montana vacation homes, depending on your interests. The summer months are generally the most popular for those who want to participate in outdoor activities and wildlife viewing. It is also the ideal time of year to explore some of the cultural and historic attractions. The peak season in summertime is during July. The second most popular travel season coincides with the annual snowfalls. The ski season starts in December and, if the weather conditions are good, can last until April.
