  • Spectacular views, Convenient location, Cute, Clean & Well-Appointed Cabin

"As other reviewers mention, the photos are not a fair representation of this property. It is much better than the photos! We were all pleasantly surprised upon arrival, including my 70 year old mother who is accustom to staying in 5-star hotels. :) There were 10 of us, 6 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 young children. Plenty of room for all of us. My 70 year old father had suffered a broken femur 8 weeks before this trip and he was just beginning to walk on a cane. This property was perfect for him. He could not walk done the bank to the river, but he loved sitting out on the very large wrap around porch. We spent every night at the outside table for happy hour and watched the fishermen and listened to the river. The kitchen is well equipped and the table accommodated all 10 of us easily. Plenty of dishes and utensils for all of us. The property does sit right on a major road, which I was very concerned about before we arrived. You will hear occasional road noise from cars and tractor trailers, but it is not a very busy road, so it's just every now and then. None of us were kept up in the night from it. We highly recommend booking a float trip for fly fishing the Madison River. We had 3 boats and used Matt, Taylor and Pat, who were all great guides! We also booked a horseback riding day trip with Mike and spent the day in the Mammoth area of the park riding horses and enjoying the sites without seeing any cars or other people. There is an AWESOME restaurant just 5 miles away called Grizzly's. So, even though the cabin is remote (as everything is out there), you do have a couple of dinner options closer in. No matter where you stay, you will be driving to get to your next adventure. Having said that, this cabin was centrally located to all of the day trips we made ... Yellowstone Park, Jackson Hole, Big Sky, and Pocatello, ID. David is great to work with. He is incredibly responsive and accommodating. We highly recommend this cabin and we will certainly be back again! :)"

  • Great Stay!

"We stayed the weekend for a bachelorette party with 9 girls and this condo was perfect! Lots of room, and so nice to have 3 bathrooms! The condo had everything we needed and it was super clean! Directions to the condo once we got up to the mountain were a little confusing, but we found it after talking to the front desk at the lodge! Would totally recommend this condo!"

  • PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT DREAM MONTANA VACATION CHALET!!!

"We stayed here 5 nights for the last part of our honeymoon. Randy & Cindy provided us with all that we needed in the Chalet & they answered all questions we had. We had daily visits from deer, and saw turkeys & turtles in the lake. Every great review already written is like reading our minds because it's exactly how we feel. We can't wait to come back again and we will. Without a doubt, Randy & Cindy's place is recommended by us."

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
