  • Destination Wedding

"Perfect location for all activities of our group--went to Big Sky, Bridger ski area, horseback riding, river rafting, tubing the Madison-twice, and attending our nieces barn wedding in Belgrade. Great week in Montana--the views are fantastic and the hot tub got a lot of use! The home has everything you would ever need. I will recommend it to anyone heading to Bozeman area."

  • Comfort and space for 12

"We were traveling as two families of 6 and found the homes accomadations very comfortable for the whole group. We had small children, teenagers, young adults and adults and all enjoyed what the property had to offer. The views off the wrap around deck offered a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. The wood burning fireplace was a great center piece to finish out the night."

  • Quiet, secluded and picturesque

"This was our first time using VRBO and we were not disappointed. The residence was everything we had hoped it would be and more. The house was clean and spacious for our family of four. Every accommodation was available to include a fire pit, gas grill, wifi, and all kitchen appliances. Steven made us feel welcome, and even brought us huckleberries several times. The vicinity to west glacier was only 7 or 8 miles and only about a mile to the flat head river. We stayed for 6 nights but could have definitely stayed longer. Hope to return one day."

  • Amazing

"Brought my family to Yellowstone as my Christmas gift to my grandchildren and their parents. This house had everything you could possibly want or need and the furnishings were great. Haven't slept that good in years. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. The amazing mountain views and the Yellowstone River sitting on the deck couldn't have made our trip more perfect. And only a mile from the Park entrance. I'll be back soon!"

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
