  • Daughter's Vacation

"Going to Montana was my daughters idea and I am glad she suggested it. My wife daughter, 2 dogs, younger sister and her husband all stayed at the cabin. As stated in the above it did get hot in the afternoon, but by moving to the front of the cabin until the sun pasted below the mountains it was cool. The area is beautiful and only about 10 miles from the city of Big Sky. We found a daycare for the dogs between the cabin and Boseman which was convinient. We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin and would recommend it to anyone."

  • Excellent Condo/Superb Location

"Our group stayed in this condo for a week. It is spacious, fully stocked, has excellent WiFi, and is "truly" ski in/out. The use of the Green Moose SUV is an added bonus that saves the hassle of a car rental. We highly recommend this condo for a ski vacation!"

  • Murphy Family Vacation

"We had a wonderful time at this home! We are a family of 17, here for a family reunion! We fit...just fine! My only 'moderate' complaint would be that, if the owner's decided to remodel the place, please, add another bathroom to accommodate larger crowds! But...we made that work and we loved the attention to detail that the owners provided on ALL other aspects! Great frontage location on Flathead lake! We enjoyed the historical information on the house and the interior 'wall writings'! Thank you for such a wonderful vacation!"

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
