  • Excellent Vacation Home

"This log home is one of the most beautiful homes our family have stayed in. The entire house was tastefully decorated and extremely clean, the kitchen was large and spacious, the beds were very comfortable and warm. The yard was huge, clean and the air was so fresh. We enjoyed the peace, quiet and rest away from the big city life. The deers and wild turkeys that came into the yard was a welcome site. The lettuce, herbs and peppers from kitchen garden was great to have at hand. Our experience was awesome and we will definitely hope to come back again. Renae and Mark, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, we can see your home was built with love and care."

  • Yellowstone National Park Vacation 2014

"The drive to Emigrant, MT took us longer than expected and we were so relieved to pull up to the condo! We unlocked the front door and were thrilled at all the space. The condo itself is immaculate and it was the little things that made our stay even better. For one, the Mohatt's left over some space in their kitchen cabinets for us to store our purchases. The Elvis poster on the closet door made us smile, and a bunch of history buffs were absolutely transfixed by the "Hunting Party" picture and history in the man cave (a.k.a. garage). It was wonderful that the Mohatt's allowed us to borrow their towels and take them to Chico Hot Springs where we spent some great family time. The girls loved having a bedroom all to themselves, and took over the bathroom on the lower level. They loved walking to the "Wildflour Bakery" down the street to grab coffee and Chai tea in the morning, and the feeling of safety that came with it. Our youngest bunked in our walk-in closet on an inflatable mattress. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable and we loved the bathroom. Soaking in the large tub after a full day of hiking and/or rafting made for pain-free sleeping. I loved sitting on the master bedroom balcony at night with a glass of wine and in the morning with my coffee. At night during our stay we had great views of the Super Moon and in the morning, Emigrant Mountain was there to greet us. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to navigate and we enjoyed some great slow-paced family dinners and breakfasts together in that space. The kids loved sitting on the stools and chatting while we made dinner. We had an amazing week at the condo. It's well kept in a beautiful place. Emigrant is tiny, but we had the bakery that also serves pizza and BBQ and a General Store across the highway. The Yellowstone River is in walking distance and Emigrant participates in recycling. Gardiner, MT, the Gateway to YNP was a beautiful and short 30 mile drive away. On our way home, I had a great chat with Bernie! Sometimes you never know the people who own the place you stay, but Bernie feels like part of our family. I would highly recommend this great little town and amazing condo to anyone wanting to visit YNP and stay away from the chaos and traffic that other areas around YNP are famous for!"

  • Great stay on Big Mountain, Whitefish

"We had a lovely stay in the Kristianna Condo on Big Mountain, Whitefish, Montana. The accommodations were clean and nicely appointed. The ski village was scenic and quiet. The location was convenient and minutes away from shopping and dining in Whitefish. The Apgar entrance to Glacier National Park was less than an hour away. We had excellent mild weather for our August visit. This part of Montana is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay."

  • Visitors from New Mexico

"We loved the Quilt Cottage! We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood being within walking distance to downtown. The kitchen was better equipped than mine at home. Also, the neighbors were extremely helpful and answered questions about Bozeman and the area. We will be back!!"

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes.
