  • Montana's Eagle's Nest

"Our extended family of 9, including 6 adults and 3 children (9,5 & 5), stayed at Eagle's Nest for one week. The house easily accommodated all of us, with room to spare, and was perfect for our family. The house was very clean and had lovely interior decor. There were enough bedrooms to sleep everyone, with very comfortable mattresses. The master bedroom was wonderful, with a large bathroom and jetted tub as well as shower. We had some concerns that there would not be enough bathrooms for 9, but it did not prove to be the case. We never even used the bathroom in the basement. The kitchen was well equipped (although a microwave would have been nice to have) and there was a very nice gas grill outside. We cannot say too much about the 360 degree view from the house -- spectacular. The numerous balconies around the house were wonderful ways to relax and enjoy the vistas. The children enjoyed exploring the area. Although it was a little trek to get there, the view and the house are worth it and getting there was part of the fun. The owners of the home were very friendly, helpful and accommodating and were nearby. Our experience at Eagle's Nest was a very good one and we hope to return sometime in the future."

  • Worth every mile to get there!

"We traveled over 1200 miles to arrive at the cabin and it was worth every mile! Absolute quiet, phenomenal scenery and a totally equipped and appointed cabin. You are close enough to Yellowstone to do day trips, but far enough away to just sit on the porch and let the silence and beauty refresh your soul. Everything that we needed was there and more! Very clean and with a kitchen stocked with more pans and pans than we would use at home! We cannot recommend this cabin enough for those who are looking for a place they would never want to leave."

  • Two Couples Visiting GNP and Discovering Whitefish

"We were two couples staying at the condo for 4 days while visiting Glacier National Park. We really enjoyed our stay at this condo in Whitefish. The property was clean and well maintained with delicious baked good waiting for us on arrival. The beds, 2 bathrooms with tubs/showers, kitchen, wifi, gas grill, and big flat screen tv were great. The amenities of the complex were an added bonus. Some of us used the spa and indoor heated pool. We found many fun places in the area in addition to our trips to NGP. We really enjoyed the Great Northern microbrewery and downtown Whitefish with its' events such as the farmer's market.. We took a fun trip to Polebridge. I'm sure we would have loved some of the amenities of the Whitefish Mountain Resort if we had been at the condo when they were open. I would definitely recommend this condo to friends or relatives so long as they could manage the spiral staircase."

  • Spacious, comfortable and beautiful house

"We were a party of about 13 people including kids. The house was very comfortable for all of us. Every one of us just loved the house. The kitchen was fully equipped, the rooms very comfortable. The living room and the family room were very spacious allowing everyone to be comfortably seated at the same time. The views around the house are very beautiful. I would like to thank the property manager who was very helpful and responded right away whenever I had any questions. Over all very clean, comfortable, spacious house. I would definitely like to stay at this house next time I visit Yellowstone."

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
