  • Beautiful Views

"The perfect getaway for Yellowstone ! We were two couples and the house was just right for us. The living room and extensive deck look out over the river and the mountains beyond with wonderful sunrises and sunsets. The house was well equipped and really well placed just a few minutes drive from the park north entrance. We will certainly be recommending Buffalo Bluff to all our friends."

  • Beautiful Home with Beautiful View of Glacier NP

"We have stayed in VRBOs from the Florida Keys to the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington but this is an amazing property to consider for your vacation. The home is decorated with eclectic and rustic touches yet perfectly blended with modern amenities. The house exceeds expectations and the pictures really don’t do it justice. The house is as described with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, great room with satellite TV, dining room, wraparound deck, laundry facilities and a finished basement with another TV family room. It was also very clean. We didn’t plan on eating so many dinners at home but the home was so enjoyable with the wraparound deck surrounding almost the entire house, we couldn’t resist staying in and grilling on the BBQ so we could enjoy the view and the house. We spent the week exploring Glacier National Park. During our visit in early September we noticed the weather at West Glacier was about 10-20 degrees warmer than East Glacier; which is also windier. East Glacier had gotten several inches of snow and Montana had actually shut key roads needed to explore the other sections of the Park—which we highly recommend as they are less populated and just as beautiful. The house does not have Wi-Fi but does have good cell coverage; at least for Verizon subscribers, so we were able to check road conditions before heading out. There is a train track about a half mile from the home with trains going by several times a day and in the night. We found the train to be fun; fitting in with the eclecticness of the house yet it could be a frustration to light sleepers. The homeowners (Marcey and Rich) live on the property and this is their house when it isn’t rented. We had pleasurable conversations with them, enjoyed their company greatly and enjoyed seeing their daughters, 3 dogs and horses, but you do have this slightly peculiar feeling that you displaced a family. Even in the early morning the family dogs will stop by and peer in the window with a bewildered look as if to say, “What are you doing in our house?”. This is a fantastic property and we loved our stay! It is close to a couple small towns (Hungry Horse, West Glacier & Coram) with restaurants and a small grocery store. It’s just a couple miles to the west entrance of Glacier National Park and about 20 minutes to Columbia Falls (a good size town with more services, restaurants and larger grocery store). We highly recommend this property and will stay here again when in the Glacier area."

  • Spacious, quiet log home and wonderful owner

"My husband and I originally booked the one-bed log home that belonged to the same owner, but got upgraded to this 3 bed log home. We spend 4 days here, and found it to have everything we needed. It is very quiet, day and night (we are very noise sensitive). Comfortable master king bed, excellent shower, quality stainless steel pots and pans to fix our own meal. Unlike a lot of other rental homes that tend to be over crowded by furniture and decorations, the living/dining area of this home is tastefully decorated and extremely spacious. The home is spotlessly clean. The location (at the quieter end of the Madison Ave.) is excellent, close to the park entrance, to xc skiing trails, and to supermarket and coffee shop (Freeheel and Wheel has the best espresso and advise on hiking trails). We would also like to echo what other reviewers have said about the owner. Justin really went above and beyond to make sure that we had a wonderful stay. We will not hesitate to stay here again and to recommend it to anybody who is looking for a place in West Yellowstone."

  • Big Sky holiday

"Excellent house, very comfortable and close to big sky and Yellowstone. Very quiet and picturesque. The only downside was the heater cutting in and out which was extremely noisy in bedroom. You can turn it off but then you wake up to a very cold house."
