  • Perfect location for Glacier National Park visitors!

"We were met by the owner and shown around the cabin. A freshly baked peach/huckleberry pie greeted us on the kitchen counter. The property has been in the family for many years and the love and care put into it shows. Very quiet setting with lots of area to roam. Horseshoe and fire pits. Lots of thoughtful extras. Thank you for being part of our wonderful memories of this glorious area."

  • Great house and location

"My wife, two children (ages 8 & 11) and I very much enjoyed our stay at Aspen Cottage while we were touring Yellowstone. The cottage was extremely clean, neat and well maintained with new landscaping in front which seemed to be a haven for several elk that visited every evening. The cottage had every amenity except for a dishwasher which really didn't matter since we only prepared one major meal (steaks on the Weber grill) while we were there. The location was perfect for access to shops and restaurants in Gardiner and the north entrance to Yellowstone. I recommend it highly for families."

  • SC visitor

"We stayed for 3 nights in mid August and had a great time. Unit was very clean and extremely we'll stocked. Even had insect repellent and bear spray, though we already had some. What a great location for exploring yellowstone. Had elk every morning or evening right out the back door. Gardiner was a neat little town and the unit was great. I would definitely stay again"

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
