  • Amazing home & location!

"We rented this beautiful home for a "girls weekend/bachelorette party" for 12 women. The house is immaculate and wonderfully stocked with everything you need. The owners are nearby to help but not intrusive. Beds are so comfortable! The lake is nice and warm for swimming, even in June. We had a perfect time and Tom & Julie were great, even when our hen party got a little too loud. Thanks again!"

  • Unique Home

"We stayed at this beautiful Sailor's Home for two summers. My sisters and their husbands enjoyed this home so much we decided to come back again. The first week this summer we invited our children and their families. They didn't want to leave! The second week was again with my sisters. This spacious home is so very comfortable. This home is so unique, well kept, and very clean. It exceeded all our expectations! Everything you could want is here including two kayaks. The weather was fabulous and the fireworks spectacular on the 4th. Robin and Patti are very helpful and easily available. We look forward to returning."

The condo is very clean and comfortable and offers a full kitchen and free wifi. • Great location, cute cabin

"Easy drive to Glacier, Whitefish, Flathead Lake etc.. for sight seeing and great shopping. Heading west was a pretty drive past McGregor Lake to Kootenai Falls and the swinging bridge. and the dam tour at Libby. Lots to do in the area. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and decorated very cute. Weather was warm the week I was there, but once the sun started going down, sitting on the porch with a drink and watching the deer outside was a great, quiet way to end the evening. Doug and Mimi were very nice and had good info where to eat, shop, hike and kayak in the area. You won't go wrong staying here."

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.

There are also strong western traditions with rodeos and shows taking place throughout the season.

Seasons to Visit Montana

The summer months are generally the most popular for those who want to participate in outdoor activities and wildlife viewing. It is also the ideal time of year to explore some of the cultural and historic attractions. The peak season in summertime is during July. The second most popular travel season coincides with the annual snowfalls. The ski season starts in December and, if the weather conditions are good, can last until April.
