  • Great vacation get away

"We rented both condos for a family reunion and I think being able to shut the door between the spaces to manage the kid noise was a bonus! It's conveniently located between Big Sky and Bozeman for fun in both places! The view of the Gallatin gateway was fabulous!"

  • Super nice!

"Moose Tracks was such a beautiful, relaxing vacation home! The view of the mountains was absolutely gorgeous, and we had a great time hiking and seeing all the sights at Yellowstone. We got some great pictures! :) The home is so clean and nice and it made out stay even better! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.""

  • Frogger

"Very nice and cozy for our family of 4. The girls really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Well equipped kitchen and nicely decorated. Could use a bigger TV and a BBQ as well as a light for the patio. Overall it was a wonderful stay."

  • Very nice house but lacking peace and quiet

"Let me start out by saying that the owner, Dave, was a very friendly and accommodating guy. That being said, here are the pros and cons of staying in this house. Pros: Very comfortable home with lots of room to spread out. Kitchen is lacking nothing! Lovely back deck with a gorgeous view and spacious yard. Close to everything...Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Kalispell, the airport and, of course, Glacier. Cons: They are few but enough to keep me from staying here again. The owner came to the house every day. On our last day there, he was at the house for FOUR HOURS CUTTING THE YARD. I'm not sure why this couldn't have waited until after we left the next morning. The next door neighbor ran his chain saw from 5:00 until after dark almost every day which is very annoying when you're trying to relax on the deck. There definitely wasn't a lot of peace and quiet at this house. Based on the other reviews, this may have been a fluke but it's something to keep in mind."

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
