  • Cannot WAIT to return!!

"We just returned home from our week-long stay in this BEAUTIFUL home! In fact, we were so sad to leave we ended up staying an extra night. This property, both inside and out, is gorgeous! We spent the first hour of our arrival just oohing and aching as we explored the house and property. The landscaping is beautiful with fantastic views of the mountains and surrounding farmlands and pastures. Welcoming flower pots and a picnic table out front greeted us each day. Mornings were spent on long walks right out the front door with afternoons on the trails in the lush canyons just minutes away. Relaxing nights on the front and back porch decks were spent star-gazing while listening to the elk calling and horses nickering. The herd of horses that visited in the pasture across the road was "icing on the cake"!! The attention to detail of this home (from the indoor/outdoor lighting to the abundance of electrical outlets to the VERY comfortable beds and furniture, to the kitchen accessories, to the layout of the house, to the game room downstairs, to the 3rd floor loft, etc…) shines through. Comfort, style, class, and every modern convenience was in mind when this home was designed. Everything in this home is meticulously kept (cleanliness is a priority for me) and Dan and Nancy are wonderful, gracious and generous hosts. All of our needs were met and we can't wait to return next summer for an even longer stay! I just cannot give enough praise to this lovely home and surrounding property! Thank you Dan and Nancy for sharing this slice of heaven and creating wonderful memories for us :)"

  • Wonderful and perfect vacation home!!

"Thank you, Dave and Stephanie, for opening your home to us. We had a lovely time in Montana and found your home a wonderful and relaxing spot to call home for a week. The coffee and wine upon arrival was very nice. The house was immaculate and stocked with all the things we would need (paper products, soap, spices, saran wrap, etc. Many things we are used to packing for a vacation house). We especially enjoyed viewing the river from the large back deck and cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. You name it, they have it. The washer and dryer (with soap) was very nice for keeping up on laundry, always a dreaded task when arriving back home. The house is split level with two bedrooms, large TV room and office downstairs. The kitchen, living area, laundry, 2 bedrooms and both bathrooms (master and other) are upstairs. One of our favorite features of the house was turning on a music channel from the satellite dish and having the speaker on the back deck so we could hear it while looking at the river or while in the hot tub. Awesome!! We enjoyed hiking in Glacier Nat'l Park which was about 20 minutes away. Pack a picnic lunch, spend all day there, and come back to the house for dinner. The Amazing Fun Center in Coram, MT was fun for both adults and the kids. There were 6 adults and 3 kids in our group. 8 of us enjoyed a half day whitewater raft trip with Glacier Raft Company. It was raining that day but we were going to get wet anyway, right? If you are interested in the Glacier Nat'l Park area then this house is for you. A very clean home in the heart of the area right on the river. You can fish from the shore, wade in the river, or run around the beautiful yard playing games. Even our dog enjoyed his vacation to Montana. This may be the best home we've rented to date! Thanks again."

  • Cozy Cottage

"We had two families that called this cottage our home base as we explored the great outdoors. Yellowstone is just 35 minutes away. The cottage was set up perfectly for our group. The kids enjoyed a deer in the yard the first night there. Everything was clean, beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens. I loved sleeping with the window open listening to the creek. The only negative was the microwave wasn't working; but we were able to work around it. We would definitely return! Thanks for a great get-a-way!"

  • Another Perfect Stay!

"Stayed here for the 2nd time in as many years. Still think it is the best way to go. House was fully stocked with everything we needed. Love the house and the yard is great to hang out in in the evenings. As another user mentioned the stars are absolutely incredible on a clear night. The beds are very comfortable and everything in the house is in working order. Can’t say enough about being able to get away from the crowds, cook a good dinner and hangout outside after a long day. The owners were super easy to deal with again. They are as friendly and knowledgeable about the area as can be. When going to Glacier I would not consider staying anywhere else."

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.

Visitors to Montana Cabins

If you love getting away to cabin rentals, Montana has your number: the state attracts those who like wide open spaces, nature and the outdoors. It is the ideal adventure playground in all seasons for those that enjoy an active vacation. In the winter months, many people are attracted to the many excellent ski resorts. It is also a great family vacation destination, especially if you want to instill in your children an appreciation for nature and the outdoors. You can choose your summertime adventure depending on your interests. Most people like to head out on the various hiking trails. Others like to explore on horseback or mountain bikes. There are also strong western traditions with rodeos and shows taking place throughout the season.

Seasons to Visit Montana

There are two favorite seasons for booking Montana vacation homes, depending on your interests. The summer months are generally the most popular for those who want to participate in outdoor activities and wildlife viewing. It is also the ideal time of year to explore some of the cultural and historic attractions. The peak season in summertime is during July. The second most popular travel season coincides with the annual snowfalls. The ski season starts in December and, if the weather conditions are good, can last until April.
