  • New Years Getaway!

"We had a great time at Jane's Place! There were 7 of us and we had plenty of space. We enjoyed the cozy cabin feel and the beautiful view we got in the mornings (especially when the sun cracked through the clouds). On day two we all got excited seeing a Great Horned Owl right on the porch! It was a quick drive into Bigfork, were we spent NYE and about 40 minutes into Kalispell. We had some power outage issues with the Hot Tub that we were warned about but with 3 electricians we managed to keep on top of it and sort it out quickly. The master bedroom downstairs was unbelievably comfortable. We slept so sound in the cozy and comfortable bed despite it being pretty chilly down there. I imagine its a great escape in the summer. We are already planning that summer trip! Thanks Teresa for all the lovely touches!"

  • Home away from home

"Location, location, location! This property was great for exploring the east side of GNP. Home was very well maintained and has a very cozy feel to it. Mountain views on one side and lake view on the other. Couldnt ask for much more. It was nice to be able to "come home" to such a nice place after a dayful of hiking. I would definitly recommend this property. The owners have thought of everything you might need. I will be looking for this property again when I take my next trip out that way."

  • Late Summer stay

"The house was amazing. Absolutely loved it and enjoyed our time there immensely. We would love to stay there again. There were 4 adults and 6 kids aged 8 - 17 and there was more than enough room for everyone. Sleeping, eating, etc... And I never once heard any of the kids say "I'm bored", thanks in large part to the hot tub. Overall an awesome stay in an awesome place. Just a quick note on the property, the Tipi is located across the road and down the hill from the house, which was a bit of a surprise to us, I'm not saying that it was misrepresented, but we all thought it was right next to the house. Probably just an assumption on our part. And I seriously never found what they were referring to as the pond. Oh yeah, play the Therapy game that is in the front closet. Hardest I've laughed in quite a while."

  • Young family trip away

"We had a great time staying in this excellent house. The house is great and very comfortable with everything we needed - especially the high chair and pack and plays! It was all very well maintained and clean. It was also great to have the laundry to use too. The layout worked well with a toddler too as he had space to play. The location is great as it was a very short drive to town and in a nice location to go for a walk for morning coffee and for dinner at the nearby BBQ restaurant. But still a very quiet location. We're heading back soon!"

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
