  • Beautiful setting and lovely hosts

"We celebrated my 50th birthday weekend here with 12 friends. We had a very enjoyable weekend. The official celebration Saturday Sept 6 was a combination of a lovely float on the Yellowstone River with the put in very close to the property and the take out several miles down the highway. The evening activity was celebrated at Chico Hot Springs in the wine cellar and could not have been a more special setting for my friends and I to have a lovely evening with dancing in the bar for the final night cap. We would recommend this property to others. Bridget Mullen Jackson WY"

  • Magnificent ski-in/ski-out condo

"I have rented numerous VRBO properties for ski vacations over the years, but this one is the best I have ever rented. The condo itself is beautifully situated looking out over the mountain. The architectural details are magnificent, with natural log beams and columns, hardwood floors, lots of cozy, comfortable seating, a great kitchen, and a superb hot tub and sauna. It is well equipped, well furnished, private and very very comfortable. We will be returning for another vacation next year and this is our choice of places to stay."

  • Twice in 2014

"I stayed in the cabin and visited Glacier Nat. Park in August of this year with a group of friends touring on motorcycles. I enjoyed the cabin so much that I brought my family up in October for another vacation. It is wonderful, clean, quiet, safe and comfortable. We will be back."

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
